I placed the order in plenty of time before Christmas and was quoted 5-8 days shipping. I received it in just 3 days. The packaging was quality, the item looked better than the website represented, the shipment tracking updates told me when it would arrive to the exact day. Great job.
This guitar was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 17 year old son. He has been playing as a novice for about 2 years on a basic electric we bought 2 Christmas's ago. When I researched basic acoustic guitars this one really stood out and I must say I was influenced heavily by the number of prior reviews raving about the quality and sound performance. When I checked a few other sources and the manufacturer's own website as well, I knew this was a good choice. Well he was so blown away when he opened it. The quality of the woodwork, finish, inlays and just fine quality construction looks like something costing 10 times more. He tuned it and immediately started playing it and said it just felt so good in his hands. Even the hard case it came with is beautiful. I know he will be enjoying this guitar for years to come. It looks so at home in his hands. He and a few friends have been casually playing in a band for fun, and writing music. What a great source of friendship and team effort. I have and will continue to refer people to this website as a great source of quality instruments and exceptional customer service. Many thanks!
This guitar looks like something you would see in a professional musicians hands. Look on the manufacturers website and you can see for yourself how many professionals choose this brand.
For the price this represents an exceptional value. The finish, quality of materials, connstruction and even the case look like they'd cost so much more. This is an excellent value.

I bought this guitar 9 years ago as just something to mess around with in between shows. Mostly for practice and writing purposes. It has been thrown around and beat up a bit and still sounds decent and plays alright. Like I said, I've had it for 9 years and its held up all those years. However, it is constructed about as well as any low budget, Chinese guitar. The problem lies in the bridge and the spruce top. They advertise it as if its made from some high quality wood with superior craftsmanship but that's not the case. The wood isn't well laminated so it starts coming apart. The plies of the wood start to separate which causes the body to get lots of stress cracks and bulges in the wood. Also, The lacquer finish on the guitar was put on BEFORE the bridge was glued to the body. Once that lacquer gets some heat added to it like in the summer time if you leave it in the car, the lacquer and the glue soften and the bridge tends to lift off the body. The bridge can be fixed in most cases but if that top ply of wood peels off with it, might as well just get a new guitar. Its not worth putting the money into it to fix it.

In conclusion, It is a decent sounding guitar, rather fun to play, but its really not worth buying in my opinion

Absolutely Amazing

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I had wanted to play guitar since 2007. I saved up money to buy a guitar, and I was reviewing all the acoustic guitars on this site, and I came across this one, and bought it in the end of january, got it in february, 2009. It is exactly what I was looking for. It is absolutely gorgeous, it has an amazing sound, and it stays in tune for a long time. It's quality exceeds the price. My advice, is, buy it!

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this guitar at my local music store and I didnt even have to play it!! I picked it up looked at it and said I'll take it. It plays better than my brothers JUMBO ALVEREZ. I didnt like the d'addario 13s it came with and that is probobly the worst thing about it.

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Mine is black. I Bought it in 1993 with my first Navy paycheck in San Diego out of 20 that I played. People with much more expensive guitars offered to trade me for theirs....my mother, who has a 1971 Martin D41 prefers this guitar over that. I replaced the tuning machines, lowered the action, added a inline pickup and the ONLY complaint I have about this guitar is the saddle is coming apart, and has been since its birth. I have jammed, clubbed, beached and rainstormed this guitar and it just will not die! Phosphor bronze makes this baby purr like a kitten and she has been around the world with me and back....and still gets played as much as my other more expensive guitars. For a cheap guitar, I will have to claim the prize for longevity!I only give feathures, quality and overall a 4.5 because the tuners were really cheap. If the quality is the same today as it was back then, I would buy it all over again, no matter how much money I had!

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I ordered my Jasmine while it was out of stock. Because it was so long before they had them in stock again, I was given free 2 day shipping. It arrived the day after they recieved the shipment. I didn't even have to ask!

To start, this guitar is amazing.

The end.

The sequel: The case is is very sturdy, protective, and almost shiny. Guitar fits in perfectly. The accessory compartment is small, but plenty sizable.

Whether picking or finger style playing, this guitar holds up. It has a loud, clear ring to it. The D'darrio strings it comes with a fine, but as always, your particular string guage is always nice to add. Tuners are fine. Nothing special, but not poor quality.
The gloss finish is very nice, not too much. The woods used look pretty.

Only con is that I also got a strap, and while in the pictures you can see a strap bolt on the bottom, there is no upper bolt. Not a big problem. I'll either add one another time, or play sitting.

Overally, outstanding. Your friends will envy you forever, musically speaking. Buy it now, no regrets.

Best guitar i've ever played

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I've had my Takamine for about three years now and it sounds great. All of my friends have acoustic guitars and theirs' don't even come close. The Jasmine not only looks great but feels great too. The fret board is my favorite part of the guitar. The playing is smooth and it doesn't were out your fingers. My only complaint is that the bridge of the guitar sits too high and I recommend that you get a new one when you buy it. Overall the guitar is great and I definitely suggest that you buy it. I know you'll be satisfied.

Great Beginner or intermediate Guitar

By n_dawg93

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I started playing a year ago, and the Jasmine S33 was my first guitar. It's a very good guitar for the price, you even get a hard case with it. If you want to start playing guitar and are trying to find something cheap, this is definitely the guitar for you. I would recommend changing the strings as soon as you get it, the strings that come with it are not good. I definitely don't regret purchasing this guitar and would recommend this guitar to anybody, even if they're not a beginner.

Good Starter And Finisher

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I've had this guitar for about 7 years and i still love it. It stays in tune very well and has great tone. I still find myself playing it more than my electric hollow body Ibanez. The action is alitle high but it is a begginers guitar.I highly reccomend this guitar for learners and old pickers that need a beat around back up.

Comments about Jasmine Series S33 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this for my sons 14th birthday which is coming up soon, so I've had some time to play it myself. It came set up perfectly with no issues of any kind. Action is wonderfully easy to chord and play notes. It'll be perfect for him to learn on and the best part is, he won't outgrow it. I'm also pleased with the appearance, fit and finish are surprisingly nice. It really is beautiful for this kind of money. Good quality strings, excellent tuners, and a better case than I have for my ovation. You just cant't go wrong here. I may go get myself one for our little outdoor jam sessions.

I got mine in 2004. The price was a lil high back then. But ohhhh wow...!,, this was my first guitar. I have others. But when I go to warm up this is the guitar I grab. I took mine over seas while in the marines. And It took a beating. The case was crushed in transport. But the guitar was in tact. With a small dent in the top of it. But you'd never know by listening to it. This is a must buy. Trust me....
