Comments about Kremona Rondo Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar with Hardshell Case:

First off, I spent a ridiculous amount of time at GTR-CTR Nashville (and the 'other' big-name place) playing several of the classical guitars they had in stock and came away knowing I didn't want an Asian-made guitar. There was no build consistency from one to the next. All seemed to have had some sort of issue, and most (if not all?) of the USA made guitars were out of my budget. I couldn't find any Kremona's locally to play firsthand, but after watching a few different YT videos, and reading reviews on Musician's Friend website, I decided to take a gamble, sight-unseen. I only had two requirements in this purchase. I wanted a Spruce top (not Cedar) and I wanted the feel and craftsmanship of a quality hand-made guitar, for under a grand. On the arrival of the guitar, (and why I didn't give it 5 stars) it was packed well and there was no shipping damage, but the guitar was advertised as being sold with a Hard-shell case, and mine arrived in a gig-bag (albeit a sturdy, "Kremona" labeled gig-bag). MF customer service was quick to remedy the error and shipped out a HS case, free of charge of course, but it still was a bit of a disappointment. Onto the guitar. Right out of the box, it was in pristine condition, as I hoped it would be, and honestly, as I expected it to be for that price. I haven't found any finish or fit blemishes anywhere on it. (Solid German spruce top with Bulgarian walnut sides and back.) The guitar plays great, with decent action, making playing above the 12th fret easier to play than many of other guitars of this nature. In the two weeks I've owned it (and recorded with it) I haven't 'heard' any dead-spots on the fretboard, or any note anomalies. It has a naturally warm tone, but not dull/muddy. The notes ring out punchy, bright and articulate, but never loose their warmth and timber. And that tone will only get better as that spruce top ages over the years. For the money, I wasn't able to find a better built or better sounding classical guitar.
