LAGUNA GUITARS LAUNCHES "ONE GUITAR, ONE TREE" REFORESTATION INITIATIVE

Laguna Guitars, reflecting the passionate convictions of musicians, celebrates Earth Day by launching their new "One Guitar, One Tree" reforestation initiative. This plan involves planting one tree for every Laguna guitar made. In addition, Laguna continues to deepen its other practical efforts to reduce waste, recycle and conserve the planet's resources.

For decades, musicians have proudly been socially aware and urged others to take more action, advocacy and awareness in environmental matters. As musicians themselves, those at Laguna have always passionately supported that position, knowing that trees are an economical, long-term solution to many tough environmental problems, including air and water pollution, climate change, wildlife protection, habitat restoration and more. In partnership with AmericanForests.org and their Global Relief campaign, Laguna proudly plants a tree for each Laguna guitar made.

In addition, Laguna's shipping cartons are designed to provide maximum protection with a minimum of material. Their boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard that is also 100% recyclable, which they naturally encourage wherever possible. Also, in the interests of conservation, they have decided not to print glossy, heavyweight catalogs as millions from various companies end up in landfills every year. Instead, Laguna provides extensive information online at their website (www.playlaguna.com) and a catalog will soon be available as downloadable PDF's, allowing users to print only those pages they want.

As with the design and manufacture of their guitars, Laguna welcomes an open dialogue with musicians and encourages them to share their thoughts and ideas on environmental matters including Laguna's "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and other earth-friendly plans. All such feedback can be directed to environment@playlaguna.com. Please visit PlayLaguna.com or AmericanForests.org for more information on the "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and Global Relief campaign.

The Laguan LE322 is one of the best guitars I have ever owned in my 30 plus yaers of guitar playing. I have a dozen guitars from relatively inexpensive to very expensive and can't believe the Laguna sells for the price listed. The fit and finish is unrivaled by most other manufacturers. I have the vintage burst model and it is gorgeous! The finish is flawless and the satin finished hardware is elegant. The fret work is the best of any of my guitars. A beautiful dark rosewood fretboard actually shines when you look at it. The locking tuners and a very stable neck contribute to great tuning stability. This is my first guitar with a Wilkinson tremolo and it behaves similar to Floyd Rose trem I have on another guitar. I checked the guitar neck and was surprised to find it straight right out of the box. I had minimal set up time invested before I started playing it.The pickups are the quietest single coils I have heard without sounding dead and the humbucker at the bridge gives excellent tone for lead riffs. I find this guitar exceptional, period! Laguna got it right and I hope they continue to produce instruments of this quality for such a reasonable price.

These guitars carry a bloated price for extremely inferior craftsmanship. Mine came with a busted tremelo, I have yet to hear from Laguna. It wasn't even screwed in it was like they just threw it in there? The neck seems solid, but buzzes on every fret, even using the factory recommened gauge strings you still get the same buzz.Oddly enough the strings I replaced them with D'dario lights- and they were the same strings already on there. Go figure. The finish on the guitar body seems really clean, but check the head stock the attention to detail is terrible. I had one that had the logo messed up, and another that had line marks and filing across the side. The only good setting is with the switch all the way down any other setting sounds muddy and unclear. The tone knobs are crooked too.

Pretty good for the price.

By guitarman665

My first 2 guitars were a gibson les paul and a vai ibanez jem so i was a bit spoiled. with that being said i picked this thing up and played great. i liked it cause it gets a decent sound for any kind of music you want to play. had the wilkinson trem on it. overall a pretty decent guitar specially for the money you cant beat it.

had it for 1 year and still not happy

By THE BLUES PLAYER

Do NOT spend ur $$ on this guitar. You could find and Ibanez or strat in the same range that will sound better. I have a couple reasons for my opinion.1. The guitar looks nice and very unique and it will grab your attention right away. But the guitar is made in Indonesia and has a very cheap feel to it. Even the finish looks better from far away.2. The pick-ups were not balanced at all. The Humbucker volume is way louder than the single coils. I know this happens, but its useless to use diff pickups at shows if they sound soo much different and volumes drop and raise. 3. The guitar was not setup well from guitar center. the action was too low and the springs that hold down your strings were all off. I had to spend $60 bux for a good setup by a professional before it stayed in tune and played decent. After all the work done to it including a fret job screw and nut work and 10 gauge strings this guitar plays well... but too much work.. it doesnt even have a rose set up. If your looking for a nice guitar out of the box dont buy this one!TRUST ME !

Sweet deal

By joeythehulk

So I was walking through a certain guitar store when I looked up at this guitar and took it down to play. I was blown away by the sound and feel of this axe. It was a bit heavy but it makes up for it with rich, long sustain. There's not a TON of features, as it is pretty basic but there are a few extra surprises I didn't see right off the bat. I would recommend this axe to anyone lookint for a deal that gives you more than what you pay for.

Solid mid range performer

By Robert-1-W4w

I was looking for a strat like guitar that stood out from the crowd. After playing everything in teh music store I decided to go with Laguna. I liked the sound and the playability, especially the neck. Shortly after my purchase I replaced the cheep pots, switch and plug, changed strings to 10's, set it up and it's all good now. The fret ends could use a little work but that's a minor point.

Great Value

By David Sankel

from Rochester, NY

My Laguna is, by far, my favorite guitar. After trying various, I discovered that the exposed swamp ash of the 322 sounds richer than the maple topped 422's.The pickups sound surprisingly well. The humbucker works great for metal and the warm single coils work well for jazz and vintage rock. There are a lot of extra features that aren't normally found in a guitar of this price range. The combination of locking tuners and the wilkinson tremolo keeps the guitar in tune with exaggerated dives. The strap locks are really handy too.The one I purchased had a good amount of fret buzz, but I was able to get that fixed with a turn of the truss rod. Otherwise it was well set up.This is a touring band's guitar. Something for someone who has a very keen ear for sound quality and plays a lot. Oh, and for someone who loves purchasing high quality things for low prices.

OMG THIS GUITAR IS AMAZING!!

By Jessebwf10

Now I saw this guitar before and didnt think it was that great because laguna is known for acoustics, but damn was I wrong, this thing is amazing, the playablity is great, the frets never buzz out and they sustain great, the pick-ups are very hot (I play metal and they are perfect for metal) and they can play almost any style, any way 10 out of 10, great work Laguna!

Worth twice the price!!

By none-iQWiy

Great guitar for the money. I had been looking for a down and dirty ROCK guitar. Played every other major brand. The Laguna fell in line with "well-known" brands costing $700 to $1000. Using it as my "Metal guitar"...it was cheaper than changing up pickups in one of my strats...Best eletric I tried for the money!

Great Buy

By Justin-1slXT

from Wethersfield, CT

Best thing that has ever happened to me.First of all, you can bend that whammy bar all the way down and back and stay in tune (tons of fun). It has a new style of locking tuners that keeps it in tune for long periods of time... I've needed to tune it once over the course of a month. The action is very low and is easier on your hands. Also, great overall sound and looks. I would recommend this to any guitarist. If you are looking for a new guitar... grab this one you won't be disappointed.
