Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
Very good buy, nice instrument.I am a 67 year old retired guitar player, and I have wanted to have a classical guitar for 45 years. When I saw this one and read the reviews, I wanted it right away. So, I ordered a used one on wednesday and recieved it on friday, Pretty much right away ! The guitar is well made, but with minor flaws and slight imperfections. The neck is very good, playable out of the box. The accoustic sound is very good even if a little thin sounding. The finish is very good with a few minor problems like a little wavy on the top on both sides of the fretboard, like who ever sanded the wood and finish between coats used their hand instead of a sanding block. Some of the fret ends are a little sharp, and the frets need to be leveled and polished. The notches in the nut should be lowered a little. The ad says the back and sides are mahogany, and they are on the one I ordered. The pictures of the new ones show some more exotic wood with very dark color and stripey grain pattern. Not a big prob just a heads up. The pickup/volume/tone controls are non amplified, you just need to increase the amp vol a little to compensate. Not perfect, but not $5,000 either.Beautiful guitar for a great price!
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
I've been playing acoustic steel striings for 35 years. Picked this up to improve my style (esp. finger picking), and for my daughter to learn guitar. Nice finish, nice action, nice tone. Easy to play. Sounds OK plugged in (passive, not active, so not quite as much "oomph" as active electronics. Has a little trouble staying in tune. Put on some new strings (red) that improved the tone a bit, but haven't yet improved staying in tune. Overall, a good value and fun to play.
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
Bought my LC-200CE at Guitar Center for the ridiculous "Labor Day List" sale price and the quality of this guitar, at such a deal. Granted, it's a laminated top but the tone is really good and this is a very playable instrument that projects well. A change of strings made it even more so. The pickup is just alright and does not have an EQ. I plug into a Behringer ADI21 so it's not a problem for me, but I would recommend anyone not using an amp to get some kind of DI box/EQ, regardless. I like this Lucero and can't wait to hear it recorded through a big 'ol condenser mic, blended with the pickup.
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
i picked one up on sale while preparing to take the tony clifton show on the road....it survived months of touring, abuse, and sleeping with me in a tour bus....the electronics are basic, but effective...the construction is a good as other axes twice the price...the sound unplugged was solid...if not bordering on very articulate...great action..comfortable..flexible plugged, and unplugged....a steal at the price...if you need a nylon stringed instrument in a jiffy without hurting your wallet...this is the one...don't pass it up...i'm glad i didn't
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
I do not normally play nylon-stringed acoustics, i.e. "classical" guitars. I hate the baseball bat necks, the high action and the plinky timbre. This one was sitting there with a sale tag a hair over a hundred, and I played it long enough to start to ponder, like maybe I can convert it to something a little more usable, and then I realized that the action was already very low, and the thing had a pickup, so it was largely down to finding some original-sounding strings. I also noticed that there was nothing wrong with this guitar, in fact everything was fine, not as in high-end fine, but as in sensibly good-enough fine, and i was starting to like it. To make a long story short, I got it, the best value I have every encountered in a classical guitar. And I play it a little every day, while awaiting that magical string set that will turn it into something completely original.
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
I bought this guitar from this site when It was on sale 2 years ago. I own Martins, Ovations, Guilds, Fenders, Almansa, and Alvarez, and I keep this one on a stand right next to my bed and play it more than any guitar I own. The electronics (OUCH), but I upgraded them and wow, what a guitar. If you buy one you will not be disappointed for the investment.
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
The voice is not particularly sophisticated, but it is clean and articulate with nice bass. Very playable. Tuners are funky, but functional. The instrument stays in tune well. Intonation is not stellar, but acceptable. Finish is impressive for the cost of the investment. The electronics are rather rough. I plan to upgrade. Cutaway is nice. Neck joins body at 12th fret.I purchased this from Guitar Center, and was able to try several and take the pick of the litter. Some are not set up right. Overall, a great value. Good vibrations.

Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
I got this as a starter guitar, and I have to say: it sounds great, it works well (nothing broken), it looks amazing (you have to see it in person), and it's just plain nice to play.
Comments about Lucero LC200CE Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:
Although the materials are different, the quality of the craftsmanship literally match a handmade Cordoba C-5. The binding, finish, and neck are perfect. The tuning machines keep the guitar in tune. There aren?t any areas of excess glue or sharp edges to the frets. The neck is quick, accurate, easy to play and comes with factory installed D?Addario strings. The intonation is dead on and you can slide a capo up and down the neck without string buzz. The passive electronics require higher amp volume, but provide a nice clean sound that accurately duplicates the guitars tone. I have been playing for over 40 years and own several classical guitars and I can say, without any exception, this has been the best moneyI have ever spent on any guitar. When not on sale it is still worth every penny.
