Thia is a pretty good, "cheap guitar." I wanted a compact jazz semi-hollow to go along with my full size hollowbody. I like to play Jazz, but wanted something smaller and more comfortable The Luna was very different and was kind of "off the beaten path. I love to search for good-inexpensive guitars and I've owned about 22 guitars in my search. The frist one I received, the bridge pick-up did not work and I had to send it back. The second one was OK and After a few adjustments, it really plays great. It has a great Black finish and nice appointments. The fret markers might be a little busy for some, but you get use to them. The headstock, fretwork and neck are great and the mini humbuckers sound just right for my needs. I really enjoy this guitar. It was between the Luna and a Ibanez AS73. The luna, for my taste, sounded much better and I'm an Ibanez fan and owner. Just make sure you check it out thoroughly when you get it and make sure its not a sub-standard issue. Get a good one like mine and you're go to go. (oh by the way. The guitar I received has a stop-bar bridge, not the harp style bridge you see in a lot of pictures on the web. Why they still show the Harp tail piece and not the stop bar is beyond me. I guess someone will catch the mistake sooner or later.)
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a wonderful guitar. It has a great tone and is very reliable. Luna is definitely my brand of choice now. Not only is it the best guitar for the money, but it also comes with 2 pickguards and a guitar catalog. Not bad, not bad at all! The only thing that would make me happier is if Luna brought back the Apollo.

I play out in a little cover band and was looking for something that would perform well on stage and catch people's eye. This guitar does both. The action is great, the feel is fantastic, and the pick-ups cover a great range for being mini-buckers. It is the first semi-hollow that I have really enjoyed playing. The biggest challenge that I have had with it are changing the strings and swapping out the pots. Other than that I have been very happy.

I was excited when I frst started playing with this guitar. It has a very clean sound to it and can even pull out a little oomph with the distortion.However, when I recieved this guitar it seemed "used" The pick guard was scratched, there was no gazelle on the pick guard, some scratches here and there etc. I don't think this could happen on the way to my house because it was packed pretty well.
