Comments about Manuel Rodriguez C1 Madagascar Ebony Nylon-String Acoustic Guitar:

I love this guitar. A string broke taking it out of the box! LOL! But that was okay. I learned quickly how to string a classical guitar. This was an amazing deal. The guitar is beautiful... Sounds amazing. Quality is great.

Very happy with this guitar. Made in Spain. Sounds wonderful. Looks great. I didn't have to do any messing with the action as I have heard others have done.

    Very good value overall

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez C1 Madagascar Ebony Nylon-String Acoustic Guitar:

Nice craftsmanship; instrument comes unvarnished (be extra careful to avoid dings); bridge saddle way too high. Had to sand down the bridge saddle quite a bit to get the strings to sit at a comfortable and playable height above the fingerboard, using my other classical guitars as a reference. Tuner for G string was very hard to turn initially for tuning, but within a month eased up just fine. My 30-year-old Yamaha CG 150S (an awesome sounding instrument) has higher quality tuners however.

After playing the guitar for a month, I can discern an improvement in the tone. And the Madagascar ebony sides and back are beautiful. I think the ebony would pop more visually if varnished, however.

I think it's a great addition to my classical guitar collection (including a 10-string classical guitar) but you may have to do some set up with the bridge saddle if you find the action too high.

    Rodriguen C1 ebony

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez C1 Madagascar Ebony Nylon-String Acoustic Guitar:

I just bought the C1 ebony classical from musicians friend and have used it a lot in its first week with me.The saleman said it was made in Mexico but I was pleased to find that the guitar was built in Spain.I was a little skeptical about the quality of sound from the FSC woods but found they are rather pleasant and traditional sounding. The build was fair not perfect in finish, it has a very dry mat finish which I used a tiny bit of wood oil to help as well as some fretboard oil as well. After that the guitar looked spectacular with its sides and back woods really coming alive.I believe you get a good deal for 300 bucks, accuracy of the neck is really good, action is perfect, tuners are really nice, after the strings stretch it stays in tune really well.I have been playing guitar for 25 years and this was the perfect addition to my growing guitar family.I have noticed that the more I play this guitar the better it sounds!I will change the strings soon because they are coated strings for long life, I dont like coated strings.I reccomend this guitar to any one who needs a decent classical at a reasonable price.
