A traditional classical guitar with seasoned flame maple soundboard and a vintage matte finish

The tone, resonance, and beauty of any fine guitar is dependent upon the wood from which it is made and the Rodriguez Model A Acoustic Guitar is a prime example having a solid Canadian cedar top, flamed maple back and sides, Honduras cedar neck, and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The neck of this beautiful nylon-string guitar is reinforced with two ebony strips on the underside of the fingerboard that give rigidity and eliminate movement caused by aging. Appointments include stained Indian rosewood binding, gold-plated tuning machines, wood mosaic soundhole rosette, and unique vintage matte finish.

Manual Rodriguez has been making distinctive guitars for the world's pre-eminent guitarists since 1905. Rodriguez guitars are known for their high level of craftsmanship and balanced, pure tone. Rodriguez uses only the finest tonewoods and handforms each guitar to precise tolerances. There is no detail too minor to merit attention in the creation of any Rodriguez guitar – each one being as unique and individual as the musician who plays it.

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Model A Maple Nylon String Acoustic Guitar - Vintage finish:

I like this guitar a lot, virtually no finish, great dry basses and I hope the trebles will come along with some time or possibly different strings. I like flat necks, this guitar has a D shahped neck, a bit thick for me, one can get used to any shape with time. Very well made a super instrument for anyone not wanting a "wet" sound.

    Great guitar

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Model A Maple Nylon String Acoustic Guitar - Vintage finish:

I wanted to get away from cedar to a spruce top guitar without spending over a thousand or getting a cheapy. This one is just what I was hoping for. The sound is warm but dry and crisp. Lighter than most others because of the thin finish I imagine. As a result it's very responsive.
Solid spruce top (Engleman I believe). Flamed maple laminate back sides. Thin, matte finish.
Well built. Good set-up right out of the box. Only bad point is on the finish. On mine, it looks like they applied stain, then wiped excess off, but wiped parallel with edges, around bridge. So stain is lighter around bridge.
Solid Engeman spruce and flamed maple. It sounds great and will only get better sounding. It's like having a vintage 1800's classical guitar.
