best dang guitar i ever owned

By Jeff-G8-b8

from williamstown, Mass

If all guitars were built like this martin 00-15 i think the world would have perfect harmony. This little bodied, slim neck guitar is fantastic. So easy to play and hold.I'm not real tall or have long fingers so this guitar is perfect for me.The sound is also great. The intonation is right on.this would the perfect guitar for any body to learn on or play as an everyday axe if treated right. This guitar will make me a better player.

I love it best

By INeedCoolGuitars

This guitar is QUALITY at it's best. I thought I was a Taylor die hard, and although I still love my Taylor 812-c this guitar quickly found it's place in my heart. It's light, fun, and sounds better every day. The neck is thin, fast, and seems to feel "greasy" with use. I'm not sure why, but it is a good thing. Don't hesitate to invest in this piece of American history. There is nothing like owning a Martin.

My favorite guitar

By Rich-VEyYQ

from Michigan

I've owned this guitar for about 9 years and love it. It is by far my favorite guitar and I own 11 with some costing 4x the cost of this. The only reason I gave it a 3.5 on features is because it doesn't have many features. Which is part of its charm. The matte finish ages beautifully in places that your arm and body touches it making it look vintage in just a few years. Very comfortable to play and loud enough for any home although not as loud as a dreadnought. Balanced sound either finger pick or flat pick. Set up was great right out of the box. I would highly recommend this to any level player.

Great guitar

I was looking at guitars and planning on getting a more advanced and expencine guitar but I love the sound and the feel of this one. It is made in the U S A. it might not look like mutch but the sound is amazinf and it feels great. I also have a glossy shiny guitar already and I want something that dosnt have any lauer. If I brought that camping the finish would be destroyed. This has the sound and the feel but lower mantenence as far as I know.

I bought one about 5 years ago. Every guitar player that touched it said,"if you ever sell it I want it". I'm a part time lutiher so I have seen lots of guitars. I sold it for personal reasons and have been sick ever since. Saving money to orer another hopefully after Christmas I have one again. The next time some one will have to pry it out of my dead hands! Wonderful feel, I did very little adjustment, You will love it!

This is such a fantastic guitar. The stock action was perfect for me and is extremely playable. This guitar is a double ought body style (thus the 00 in the model), and is smaller than a dreadnought or triple ought. The great thing about a shallower body is that the higher strings (e,B,G) sound just as loud/prominent as the lower ones (E,A,D). And don't think that just because it is shallower that it is quiet. Despite its size, I found that this guitar was actually louder than a lot of the guitars with dreadnought and triple ought bodies. The solid mohogany throughout gives it such a beautiful, rich sound. I was at the Martin guitar factory the same day I bought it at a local shop, and this guitar actually sounded better than some of the extremely high-end martins. The only cons- low e-string buzz isn't terrible but it's easy to triggerPersonally, the triple ought body style fits in my arms better, but I'm a fairly tall person so thats all personal preference

Small but dynamic

I've had this 00-15 for a couple of weeks and can't put it down. It's my second Martin and the size makes it comfortable to play. The action was perfect out of the box and the sound and sustain was amazing.

Martin 00-15- A Great Little Player

By Monk888

I have had my 00-15 for about 7 years and I haven't bought an acoustic since. The thing I immediately loved about this guitar is its slightly smaller size, which makes it incredibly comfortable to play. The factory string height, however, was really high- almost unplayable for me. After adjusting the action at the nut and saddle, I was amazed. It has a beautiful, balanced tone and a surprising amount of volume and sustain. Strummed chords ring out beautifully, with every string well represented in the mix. Playability is great and its very versatile as far as the styles it will accommodate. It is, after all, a Martin- so you know that quality is a given. This is a unique little guitar with a little different sound than what you might typically expect from a Martin. I love it!

She's a keeper

By Twilight

I bought this guitar a few years ago through this catalog. It was a great deal on a solid wood, american-made guitar. I own several other guitars including a nice epi les paul, a casino, a vintage 1930's martin tenor, and others. This is my everday player. Nice feel, dark mellow tone, cool vibe. I had the action lowered and a nifty two source pickup installed. She's a keeper, she even smells good!

I have long sought a guitar this size with a sound that holds it own. The finish is much darker than the picture suggests. Classic martin feel (and smell - for that matter). Buy with confindence that this guitar will suit all of your folkie needs.
