Martin

Exceptional tone, exciting playability and classic Martin good looks.

The Martin 00015M Acoustic Guitar looks like it came right out of the history books and it delivers a sound for the ages. In its 175-year history, Martin has set more guitar design trends than can be counted. The company still embraces design techniques introduced many years ago to create their guitars' timeless tone.

The Martin 00015M offers a perfect blend of vintage features and modern technology to create an acoustic guitar of exceptional tone, playability and classic Martin good looks. Back, sides and top are bookmatched solid genuine mahogany with A-frame Sitka Spruce X-bracing and a traditional maple bridge-plate. The 14-fret neck—also genuine mahogany—is joined with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headplate. The traditional rosewood belly-bridge is fitted with a bone saddle, and the nut is fashioned from bone as well.

The Martin 000-15M is embellished with a dark mahogany stain and a satin lacquer finish. The end result is a guitar of beauty and simplicity with a warm, rich mahogany voice.

Features:

This is a very basic guitar. Solid mahogany body, nothing fancy, no way to put on a guitar strap without making modifications, but this is definitely the best sounding guitar I have ever heard. I have to say, I am not very bit experienced with guitar, but I have obviously heard plenty of acoustic guitars and have heard more experienced people play mine, and they cant put it down due to the fact that they love it so much. This guitar is so sublime, and the simplicity of it just completely fits it's personality. This is the type of guitar that would be flawed if it were to have a chord plugged into it. This is the type of guitar that is meant to be played sitting on a stool while singing into a microphone.

Quality:

Like I said, I have never heard a guitar that sounds like this. I am very big into music and have heard plenty of very experienced musicians play guitar, and I have never heard a guitar that sounded like this. Luckily, my family is pretty wealthy, so we were able to afford this guitar due to the fact that I cannot play trumpet anymore because of recent mouth surgery, and at this price range, this is the best guitar you will ever find. The tone is unbelievable, and the action is so smooth. You can hear every single note perfectly that is played in a chord. It even sounds great slightly out of tune! I have never heard an instrument that has such an amazing, unique sound. This guitar really just has something special about it that cannot be explained.

Value:

If someone had told me that they had spent 5k on this instrument, I would have believed it.

Overall:

Incredible. This is the guitar you want.

Martin 00015M

Features:

I bought this having never played it. I play just about everything varying from fingerpicking to strumming and find this well suited for everything and all. I have an all mahogany D-15 but just find the body of the guitar too cumbersome while sitting down so I began to look for a smaller body martin(000). I played quite a few in stores but really wasn't too keen on losing the all Mahongany sound from my Martin. This guitar is extremely comfortable with a fast neck. You can manipulate voulme with it well and it really projects nicely for a small body guitar. I can't sell short the fact I love the look with minimal flare and open gear tuners. The guitar arrived set up nicely, a slight tweak maybe needed as I use heavy gauge strings but it hasn't been an issue so far.

Quality:

All solid wood with a great neck, very easy to sit down on an old kitchen chair and play for hours.

Value:

This is easily the best guitar I've played in this price range

Overall:

I highly recommend this guitar for anyone looking for that beautifully versatile mahogany sound.

The smaller 000 body makes playing for hours a breeze and it projects just as well as my other full body acoustics. I have left wrist limitations due to previous injuries and this design has enabled me to play up and down the neck with ease and pain free without battling the body for position as I play( I dont use a strap).

This guitar will be my work horse no doubt! It even smells awesome!

This has a lot of mellow sound for such a small body.  It's the mahogony that does it.  It maintains it's tune and is a wonderful addition to my collection.

Wonderful guitar

Features:

The only featires this guitar should be rated on are playability and sound: it gets a 10! It has no built-in tuner, preamp or other tomfoolery. It's an acoustic guitar.

Quality:

Beautiful warm, mellow sound. The neck feels like it has been played for 20 years, it just fits into my hand so well.

Value:

This is a $1k+ guitar, so it's not something you just splurge on. The money goes into making a great sounding, and great playing instrument, without lots of gloss, inlays etc. In the Martin tradition of almost Shaker-style austerity, everything on this guitar has a function, and there is nothing there just for looks.

Overall:

This was bought for me by my wife for Christmas and was a wonderful present. It is the most comfortable guitar I have, and it's easy to play for hours on end. It's plenty loud, but not jumbo-loud of course, so it's perfect for playing at home. Totally lovethis instrument.
