Comments about Martin 000RS Navojoa 25th Anniversary Model Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

UPS ships fast and Martin boxes well. When I opened the sturdy, spotless case with the lovely plush green lining, I was pleasantly greeted by the scent of fresh woods. The Sitka spruce top is stunning. Such fine grain, so even across the top, I still don't know if there is a seam. Very tight grain. The sapele back and sides are no different, nice, even and tightly grained. The sipo neck feels so comfortable and is so well shaped. No wonder it has such a strong voice for a OOO. I played some chords and was touched by the softness and appeal of the Martin's response. I'm 68 years old and am from Berkeley, CA, so I'm thoroughly grounded in acoustic music, whether the Seekers or John Fahey. I was really getting into this sweet six string! All the first position chords were sonorous! They spoke volumes. I finger picked "A-Souling" by Peter, Paul, and Mary and almost cried, not just because it sounded so nice, but the shape of the width and shape of the sipo neck really helped my performance. I tried more. Next up were barre chords. Beautiful. The cross section of the neck handled full barres without any difficulty. No fret buzz anywhere. Action at perfect height for me. I tried four part harmony (jazz) chords. They sang! I tried blues in E or A like John Lee or ZZ Top. Here's the best part. What punch! This little OOO is loud, very loud, almost like a dread. I was not prepared for the volume, and I hadn't even plugged it in yet. So my nearest amp was an old 64 Twin. Oh, man, I was digging in. Now I got a little loose with some Doors and Led Zepp. "Love Me Two Times" and intro to "Stairway to Heaven". But I was hearing something more and had to find it. I started some single line work and went up and down on the fretboard (very clean and pretty, BTW) the way a luthier might to find blind spots on the fretboard. None found! And such overtones on every note all over the neck, on every string, that I was in love with this guitar. The bass, middle and treble were just plain ringing out! I feel I have made a tremendous purchase from Martin and MF (thank you both), and I hope Navojoa comes up with some more gems in the near future. Very affordable and the quality is sterling. I'll write more later. BTW, the tuners are great!

Comments about Martin 000RS Navojoa 25th Anniversary Model Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great, the quality is every bit as good as Nazareth built guitars, The wide grain spruce top with the toner looks great! I adjusted the truss rod a half turn counterclockwise to add a little relief. It sounds great, feels great, I'm satisfied now,but it will only get better! The pickup sounds nice.great deal , I have nothing bad to say!!!!
