Pleasantly surprised at fast delivery, tone, ease of playing, and overall Quality. Did not realize instrument was made in Mexico instead of USA.
I've always loved the 000 style guitars, I was so happy to discover that Martin was finally building an affordable 000 model. This guitar was set-up perfectly right out the box, and the sound is incredible. This is a simple, no-frills instrument at a great price. The quality is everything I expected from a Martin product. Musician's Friend transaction was flawless and delivery was super-fast. Thank you.
i was in phoenix when i bought this guitar on the spot. it outplayed every guitar in the store. Taylors and gibsons could NOT compare. the sound is comparable to any other martin youll find but for a WAY cheaper price. 4.5 on the features because they are sorta plain, but the sound is beautiful! the neck is really cool looking. like a chic-o-stick. i dont know... you'll have too see it. GREAT GUITAR! thinking about it? DO IT!
First of all, A martin is a buy at whatever price. But oh man, what a guitar. Has a unique tone. I feel I can play alot more stuff with this quality of guitar. I am a medium range guitar player. My experiance relates to country and rock. This guitar covers those music venues and more. I had a friend sit next to me while I was playing, he was blown away. When I told him the price, he was like "what"? I have played takamine's, taylors, and seagulls and nothing beats it. By the way, thanks for the reviews, without them, I wouldn't have taken the martin plunge. I love it! Plus, thanks to the customer service of Taylor, he was awesome to confirm my choice.
I love this guitar! It has a beautiful sound, the color is just gorgeous, and all you hear from other people is compliments. I definetly recommend this guitar!
Don't let the size and the price of this Martin fool you. I've auditioned other Martin and Taylor acoustics, for the price, this guitar is the best and sweetest sounding of all. And the projection, It is not only the volume but it is loud and sweet and very clear sounding. I think I was one of the more fortunate ones who bought this model that was still made in the U.S.A. Some say it doesn't matter where it's made, it is still a Martin but somehow I wasn't comfortable if it wasn't made in the U.S.A. Anyway, I am very happy with my 000X1.
This guitar is perfect for any playing type. I bought this guitar because my band needed to do an acoustic song and let me tell you guitar does not disappoint. Perfect tone, easy to play, favorite guitar I now own. Oh and the wood on the back and neck is beautiful.
This guitar sounds great! Martin didn't put much look into it (but it still is beautiful) so they put everything into the sound of the guitar. And it stays in tune super well. I was very satisfied with what I got. If you want a guitar you just want to fiddle around with that sounds great, this is the guitar for you.
Great guitar for the price. Actually, best in this price range. Mellow warm tone, not too bright, playable neck with decent string spacing. Good action and nice strings. Real wood top that smells like a cigar box........ahhhhh. The rest of the guitar is HPL, but it should last forever. Great deal, so buy it! :-)
I needed a guitar in my classroom, and was searching for one to replace my Ovation (got tired of beating up my own guitar at school). Went and attempted to test drive some guitars in this price range. Well the one 000X1 they had the was missing a string, so I at least got to look at the body and construction. Ordered from here and just got it. I am very impressed with the sound, quality and feel. The only real wood is the top, which smells like a cigar box...ahhh, but everything else does the job. Loud guitar with mellow tone, not too bright. Very comfortable to play, action good, finish smooth, string spacing is decent. It takes me years to find a good guitar worth buying, this happened on a whim and is well worth it. Do yourself a favor and buy it. You won't regret it!
