Comments about Martin 16 Series D-16GTL Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

I searched for months debating on which guitar at a reasonable price could be had. As a performing singer/ songwriter as well as a recording artist. Being mostly acoustic in my approach I checked out Martins, Taylors, Gibsons., among others. After the research I bought the lefty D-16GT. Upon arrival I opened the HSC and was greeted with the beauty and smell of a finely crafted instrument. The D-16GTL is an absolute gorgeous instrument. I tuned it up an proceeded to a love affair with Martin tone. The neck felt right. I am getting used to the medium strings and the sound is unbelievable. I have used it in 3 different show and several jams and everyone is as impressed as I am. The finish is flawless as is the sound. A true Martin. Musicians Friend was excellent in their response and helpful the whole way. It is totally acoustic, but that can be changed by an authorized luthier. I may do that soon. Thank you!!

Comments about Martin 16 Series D-16GTL Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

Went thru rosewood D28 ..but I like hog back better..it's more balanced, offers a variety of styles ..the tone is wonderful ..not as much fluff as a D18 , but has smaller nut which my small hands prefer..I prefer the satin back over gloss ..as far as material for bridge , fretboard , neck ..for the price who cares ..it's a solid all wood Martin ..got it for a steal from MF ..it's a 2016 new ..I've had 30 accoustics ..try as many as I can before my time is up..came back to this ..enough said

Comments about Martin 16 Series D-16GTL Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic Guitar:

My wife has wanted to get me a Martin for a long time, but as pastors of a small church, budget is always an issue. Enter the D-16GTL. As a lefty, I sincerely appreciates when a company makes special consideration for left handed people...and this Martin guitar is just what I needed. Having played Martins in the past, I expected the guitar to be a treat and I was not disappointed. Though it is a more humble package than its abalone and mother of pearl siblings up the food chain, Martin did not spare anything in the quality, fit and finish, and sound quality of this fine instrument. The neck is comfortable and fast. The contour of the body is hefty and substantial and the sound is every inch a Martin. Without spending a fortune, you have an instrument that delivers the vibe and the character that Martin has held in high priority for nearing two centuries. Righty or lefty, you will make a right decision including the Martin D-16 in your guitar arsenal.
