OVERVIEW

Cannon-like power and projection.

We've joined forces with Martin to create the "Carpathian Cannon" Custom D. They're in stock and they're knocking down walls!

Martin's Carpathian Cannon Rosewood acoustic guitar is a 6-string dreadnought, perfect for any musical arrangement. Whether playing alone, with your buddies, or random festival-goers in the parking lot, Martin's Carpathian Cannon guitar has got you covered.

Built on the Dreadnought platform, the Carpathian Cannon features amazingly balanced sound with a full, robust midrange. The mahogany body imports deep, full bass presence.

The new "Kinetic Synergy" top and bracing are inspired by early 1940's Martin Dreadnaughts, long famous for their great balance, reactive response, and power. This Custom run of guitars is limited to 25 Mahogany pieces and will not be repeated.

The Carpathian Spruce soundboard is milled to prewar dimensions, which sets it apart from its current counterparts. Relatively new to guitar makers, Carpathian Spruce is quickly proving itself as a premier tone wood with just the right stiffness and density for maximum responsiveness. Combined with the special "early '40s position" bracing pattern, but with ?" bracing & tone bars, the "synergy" created allows more top vibration while remaining very balanced and not overly "boomy".

The thin, stiff, lightly braced top creates a magic tone that prompted the name "Cannon."
Featuring a select hardwood for the neck and fastened with a traditional dovetail neck joint, this Martin guitar is set to grow as you do, and stand the test of time, with a tone that will keep getting better and better.

The Martin Carpathian Cannon Guitar's ebony fretboard and bridge produce clear, defined sustain, while the low-profile neck shape offers comfort and dexterity, allowing you to dance across the 20 frets. Gotoh nickel butterbean tuners continue the instrument's neo-classic look, while offering precision tuning. Featuring nickel hardware, trimmed with beautiful lined binding around the top, and dressed in a nitro finish, this Martin acoustic guitar sounds as good as it feels, and will pique the interest of anyone in earshot of its beautiful projection. BEST guitar you will buy for the price PERIOD!

I own and have owned many high end acoustics. I have NEVER played an American made guitar that sounded this good for the price. NEVER. The combination of Carpathian top, special bracing and Mohagany body has created a symphony of sonic splendor that typically is reserved for the Martin Marquis or GE. This guitar is not as warm as Rosewood, BUT it has a piano like tone that I have rarely heard from a Martin. The carp top just loves to be strummed or give a sonic beat down to any other guitar or fiddle player.
I gave this a 9 for features because of the bracing, Carp top, all gloss and Butterbean tuners. Amazing value for the price from an AMERICAN manufacturer. I would have gave a 10 with a tortoise pickguard. Go order one of these from the Martin Custom Shop and you will pay a lot more!
It's a Martin. PERFECT finish. Set up a little high, but that is to be expected for a bluegrass guitar.
There is NOT one single American guitar value that matches, tone, quality and features in this price range. I feel guilty paying what I paid as compared to what I got in return which is a world class guitar.

Simply Awesome!

By River City Recording

from Roseville, CA

I bought one of the rosewood models, I was floored when it arrived. I own a recording studio called River City Recording and I record music for a living. I have several high end Martins, it beat them all by far. I then bought one of the mahogany models, I was completely floored again! So then, I bought a 2nd rosewood model to give to my wife, she absolutely loves it. Then, I bought a 2nd mahogany to use as a Nashville high strung. These things are a rare Martin with an ultra thin carpathian spruce top, completely custom. They sound incredible and will be a collector without a doubt!
