Overall:
Shopping for an upper level Martin, and more specifically a D-41, the D-28CW and a D-18 auth 1937 were also available for comparison. Acoustic guitar tone is subjective anyway but I'm here to tell you that this CW model had tone and volume to the bone. If I had'nt been longing for a D-41 for so long (I even lettered my race car D-41 years ago) I would have bought this CW. I do not know how the "signature series" instruments from any of the manufactures will stand the test of time investment wise as compared to a regular, established model. For a guitar which is going to be used and played I would have a hard time beleiving that anything out there could surpass this D-28CW.
