Martin Ditson Dreadnought 111 Acoustic Guitar   (Used)

Product #513362
Martin

The return of a treasured instrument and an American icon.

Like the original 1916 model, the Ditson Dreadnought 111 Acoustic Guitar features genuine mahogany back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian rosewood headplate and binding, ebony pyramid bridge, ebony fingerboard with graduated position markers at the 5th, 7th, and 9th, frets and a 1-7/8" nut width. The exact details of Ditson's unique single ring wood rosette have been recreated. Special three-in-line Waverly tuners on the slotted headstock are true to the original look and feel. The original "Oliver Ditson Co., Boston, New york" stamp created in 1916 was retrieved from the Martin archives and used on the back of the headstock and centerstrip inside the guitar.

Overall:
Probably the Best Vintage Style guitar Martin has made. I have repaired Martins for years, played and collected. Also I think they are over priced the sound is truly awesome. Super clean powerful notes with great overtones. It seems to work better fingerpicking as opposed to flatpicking but is still the loudest flatpicking guitar I have heard. The workmanship is super clean and the materials are the best. As for an investment I think they will be harder to move as opposed to a 14 fret guitar since the market is smaller. Over all I Love mine
