HD-28V

Features:

Only gripe is this HD-28V has a bone nut, bone saddle, and Martin puts plastic bridge pins on this guitar.  Come on, put more into making this guitar and place bone pins and end pin on it.

Overall:

Owned a Taylor 414ce before my HD-28V it is like comparing apples and oranges, but this Martin is

awesome.  Great sustain, good bass, clear note seperation and loud. Action is a little higher than i like.
Good for all the types of music i like  Bluegrass, Blues, Classic Rock, Country, and Folk. Good all around guitar and looks as good as it sounds. The V neck on the guitar is comfortable for me.  I was almost scared off by the neck reviews, but glad i wasn't. Only regret is I wish i purchased this Martin 10 years ago. This will be a keeper I'll pass down to my grandchildren.  They'll have the hard decision on who gets what guitar.

Features:

Herringbone and abalone diamonds. Best rosewood pattern you could ask for.

Quality:

Excellent glue work. A little imperfection at the neck to body but who can expect perfection until we get to heaven.

Value:

You got to pay if you want to pklay the best.

Overall:

I had a Collings and although that guitar was a master piece, I like this guitar better. Nothing could sound better.

I am a tone freak, and I played countless guitars before I purchased my HD28V ( I even toured factories and went to botiuqe luthiers) I own a Martin D16R and a Road Series which I purchased for the campfire/beach.   My search for the ultimate guitar ended with the HD28V. Nothing on this earth sounds better, period. The tone of this guitar across the spectrum is unbelivable. The craftsmanship that goes into a Martin guitar is unsurpassed by anyone and the guitar playes like a dream.    This guitar sounds better than some of the $7,000 guitars I played during my search. An no I am not rich, I saved for 3 yrs for this guitar. Save as long as it takes, you'll thatnk yourself.   You must paly one to truly understand the "Experance"

The HD-28V is an outstanding guitar.  It's quality is absolutely top notch.  It's sound is fantastic and very boomy.  Great for any kind of music, built to last a lifetime.  Possibly the best all around guitar you could buy.  Worth every dime you paid for it.
