OVERVIEW

Highly limited-edition model incorporates pre-CITES Brazilian rosewood, highly-customized inlays and a matching watch.

The elaborate Limited Edition D-200 Deluxe Acoustic Guitar guitar features rare pre-CITES Brazilian rosewood back, sides and headplate for luxurious tone and playing feel. Unmatched in workmanship and beauty, the highly collectible Limited Edition D-200 Deluxe Acoustic Guitar is limited to only 50 guitars, each furnished with an elegant, wearable timepiece from Roland G. Murphey (RGM) bearing a matching serial number. C.F. Martin & Co collaborated with the renowned watchmaker to design and produce this unprecedented instrument to celebrate Martin’s two-millionth serial number milestone after 184 years in business. The guitar’s unique design is intended to symbolize the passage of time with a watch theme, sharing design elements with its accompanying timepiece. Martin and RGM pulled out all the stops with this gorgeous acoustic guitar, which is as much a work of art as it is a precision instrument. Handcrafted decorations adorn the D-200 everywhere, including a spectacular inlay on the back with watch gears cut from stone, mother-of-pearl, bloodwood, Hawaiian koa and ebony. The soundboard inlays feature a minute track in mother-of-pearl, birdseye maple, flamed Hawaiian koa and ebony, and a pickguard with pearl inlaid watch gears. Lastly, each guitar comes in a premium aluminum Zero Manufacturing attaché case with a built-in hygrometer that allows the interior environment of the case to be seen without the need to open the case.

Is 37% APR bad?

By NeedAgf

from Lincoln, NE

I bought this guitar to impress girls. My 45k/year income is all spent on the mortgage for this 6 stringed beauty, while performing dirty favors to grown men in exchange for Taco Bell. Still no girlfriend, but dang, what a guitar.

What a beauty. What tone! I might be biased since I needed three credit cards to buy this but I know its unique - unless Martin decides to make more. This guitar will make you sound better than any laminate guitar. What finally convinced me was that I could use a holiday coupon and saved 15K. I bought strings and a guitar strap for this bad boy.

Sound not up to snuff

By Jim the Axe Man Cometh

from Pittsfield, AR

Bought as an investment. This baby is limited to only 50 guitars made. However, the sound is more reminiscent of a laminated guitar, perhaps all of the gear inlay keeps the body from vibrating as a non-inlay guitar, but since I purchased as an investment, I'm not really planning on playing it much. The gear inlay is really top notch and is made from some quite exotic woods.

Listen, I know most people see the price tag and skip over the complete discription. In case you missed it- this bad boy comes with a free watch.

What a great instrument.

By Gates, William

from Medina Washington

I actually almost learned to play the F chord on this tone beast. It certainly is a chick magnet like the other reviewer said. I almost had to leave my Lear Jet parked for a weekend while I made the payment but certainly worth it. I think I am going to have another one custom built out of wood from the Arc of the Covenant. I'll let you know how that works out.
