Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

A solid guitar in its price range but I disagree with other reviewers that this guitar stacks up to Martins flagship guitars. It doesn't. I own a Martin 000 28vs and it is definitely not in it's league. Less volume and thinner sounding. If you can afford a 3K guitar get one.

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

This is a beautiful guitar with a really beautiful sound to it. its everything you could want in a guitar and more... but for far less money. the swomgt stacks up with martins 3 times the price. ive tried them all on the walls of several guitar shops, this one just kept me coming back. the neck is amazingly comfortable and the sound is very rich mellow and smooth, i have an lr baggs element pickup installed and this absolutely sings through my acoustic amp and pa with very low feedback even on a crowded stage!highly highly recommended for live performers.

          An Excellent Martin Guitar

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

First off, I had to order this. I couldn't find it anywhere in store which was of concern for me because I absolutely wanted to play it first. But the look of this guitar had me stuck, so I took a shot and I love it. It has a great vintage look to it, so if you're into that, you'll love this. It's a very comfortable size and shape. It plays as well as any high end Martin I've ever played. Because of it's shape, it doesn't get as much bass as a dreadnought, but it definitely gets enough for me. It has a 1 3/4 inch nut which is something to be aware of. I play an electric with the same size so I was used to it immediately, but to someone unaware of that, it could be something to think about. Personally I feel makes it much easier to play, but we all have opinions. It plays incredibly well for fingerpicking, which is mainly what I do, but overall it is a very versatile guitar. Another thing is the value. For the price, I'm not sure you could beat it. It's as good as much higher priced acoustics. The only negative I could possibly come up with is that it doesn't have a pickup. I would highly, highly recommend it.

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

The SWOMGT has a warm and personal tone that reminds me of a cast bronze bell; smooth sustain with a wonderful deep resonance. This guitar sounds like no other. More expensive guitars might get slightly closer to a "perfect execution" but the SWOMGT has more distinctive characteristics.

                Unsung hero from Martin

                By Martin Goldstein

                from Connecticut

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

This one is a sleeper....If someone blindfolded me and put the SWOMGT in my hands, let me play it, and then told me it was a $3500-$4000 Martin I would have no trouble believing it.
I'd have to echo the other review of the SWOMGT. I stumbled on it in a guitar store quite accidentally and could not put it out of my mind. The tone was incredible and I particularly liked the looks of the cherrywood body. It took me two days to take the plunge. I've fifteen guitars including some high end acoustics by Taylor, Mcpherson and Gibson. Somehow the comfort and tone of the SWOMGT keep pulling me back. One note on the comfort. For whatever reason, the nut width on this model is 1 3/4 inches as opposed to the more commonly found 1 11/16. (D28 for instance) I've short pudgy fingers. This slight difference in nut width seems to aid my playing giving me just a bit more room making it less likely for unwanted adjacent string rattles against my fingernails on the fretboard. In any case, I can highly recommend this model for those seeking an unusually satisfying Martin experience without the higher price tag. Please note: no electronics on this model....also note, it's OM size and diminutive weight (2.4 lbs) make it a pleasure to pick up and play!
Typcial Martin production. Neat and clean around the edges....

                incredible!

Comments about Martin SWOMGT Sustainable Wood Series Orchestra Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. Period. The tone is so well balanced from the bass to treble. I've found it to be a little quiet but it is a smaller body style so that is expected. That's only a problem when your playing with more than 1 or 2 other people. Its a simple guitar, no electronics, but the tone is to die for. It's so sweet sounding. The pictures don't do it justice either. The looks match the tone perfectly. The cherry makes it unique and the finish on the top is to die for. It is so rich and looks beautiful in any light. Its great for any style of acoustice music, too. Finger picking is a breeze and the neck plays like that of an electric guitar.
