One of the best !

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series GPCPA2 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If this guitar should get lost or stolen, I WOULD replace it in a minute.
It has been about a month since I purchased this GPCPA2. Just keeps getting better.
Please note that this guitar does not have an ebony fret board and bridge as stated. The fret board and bridge are made of richlite. Richlite makes the playing field much faster, and will not show signs of age. The three piece back really caught my eye. The only other Martin that has a three piece back I belive is the D-35. Another great feature is the second plug in for your cord without removing the strap. The picture shown here does not do justice two the GPCPA2. It is a beautiful guitar, and the sound hole inlays really show it off, along with the solid black ebony head stock.

I had the action lowered a touch, and I put Martin lights on instead of leaving the medium Martin long last strings that came with the guitar. A big difference. This guitar has good range high or low.
I really think the guitar is priced about right placed against other guitars in this price range.
I know if you go to your local music store, and you give it a test ride, you will bring it home.
It came with no blemishes. The rosewood smells great. It is very comfortable to hold, and has this very solid feel. Beautiful diamond inlays show off the fret board, as does the sound hole inlays. all in all it is a piece of art built by Martin.
As I have already stated, Placed against other guitars in this price range, Martin is right there at the top. Well worth the cost.

What a Martin

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series GPCPA2 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Overall this guitar brings everything to the table. Beautiful woods and a great preamp. The F1 takes a little reading, but you will catch on pretty quick.
Just purchased this beautiful guitar a couple weeks ago. This picture does it no justice. You must see it in person to take in the beauty of this guitar. I saved some money buying this model vs the GPCPA1. This guitar has a richlite finger board and bridge. You do get used to it. This finger board moves faster and is more durable. The head stock is the save expect for the Martin brand name. Solid ebony brings out the gold Martin foil. You can also plug and unplug this guitar without taking off the strap. The diamond inlays are smaller than the GPCPA1, but really looks cool when the lights hit them. Other than that everything else is the same. The sound is what you would expect from a Martin plugged or unplugged. The GPCPA2 has a three piece back just like the D-35. This does give it a little more bass when needed. This is my 4th Martin. I also own the GC-MMV, GC-DCM, and the OOOC16RGTE. Never had any issues with any of them. They give me a rainbow of sound when I supple the acoustic section at church. Check this guitar out you will see its worth the bucks. You WILL probably walk out with it.
No blemishes. Beautiful rosewood with a three piece back really make this guitar stand out on its own.
See for yourself. It may be a lot of bucks, but after you see it you WILL walk out with it.

Martin man

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series GPCPA2 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Love the F1 electronics, and the fact that you can plug in and out without taking off your strap. The richlite fingerboard is super fast and will hold up better that ebony. You will get used to it.
I've owned the GPCPA2 for about a week now, and it just keeps getting better. At first I was going to buy tht GPCPA1. I did not know about the A2 until I seen it advertised at a Martin dealer in the area. The A1 has an evony fretboard and bridge. The A2 has the richlite fretboard and bridge. The specs are wrong. The A1 also has onvaqaul boarder and bigger diamonds on the fretboard. The A1 also has a differant head stock with the newer Martin name. The A2 is all by itself with the three piece back, just like the D-35. The new F1 electronics takes some reading but is not that difficult. The sound is second to none as well as the looks. I received the A2 without a flaw and the action is ok. It could come down abit, it is a little higher the further up the fretboard you go. I own Three more Martin guitars. The GC-MMV, the GC-DSM, and the 000C-16RTE. All great guitars, never had to call Martin for any problems. I add a good variety to our acoustic section in our praise band at church. If anything would happen to any of them, I would replace them. The A2 is the most expensive guitar I own, but I really wanted to buy one that should hold its value in the future and played much better than any of my other guitars. And it does.
No flaws, a vary solid and beatiful guitar. What do you want, its a Martin.
You get alot for the money, I really believe you get what you pay for. And if you are an advanced guitarist, this guitar is for you.

Go Martin!

By Real Martin Man

Comments about Martin Performing Artist Series GPCPA2 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The best features of this guitar is the F1 electronics. The workmanship is outstanding, and the sound is music to the ears. Its easy to play standing or sitting, and can be pluged in without removing the strap. Even though the price seems like alot, compare it to other guitars, you will find the price to be right.
I have owned the GPCPA2 for one week and It just gets better. The picture does not give justice to how this guitar really looks. Its a very beautiful guitar received with no flaws. The specs say it has an ebony fret board and bridge. It actually has a richlite fret aboard and bridge. I own the 00016C-RGTE which also has the micrta fret board and bridge. After awhile you get used to it. It actually is faster and more durable. Its also cheaper than the GPCPA1 which has the ovanqle binding, and the ebany fret board and bridge with a differant head stock. Other than that its the same guitar. The F-1 electronics requires a litte reading to figure out, But once you do you can dial up some great sounds. The strap pin is located in the right place. And you can plug in and out without removing the strap which is a great feature. I also own the MMV and the GC-DSM. I never had to call Martin with any problems, and do not see any in the future. The action is a little high going up the fret board, which should be an easy fix. If something would happen to any of the Martins I own, I definitely would replace them. Check it out. I have seen worse guitars for the money. If you can afford it, you will take it home.
The quality is A number one! what do you expect its a Martin. No flaws, very solid down to the last detail. People day it looks like a Taylor. Its only the pick guard the rest is all Martin.
I think after looking at many differant guitars, the price is right. Buying this guitar is an investment. It will be worth its weight in gold many years down the road.
