Comments about Michael Kelly Series 50 Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I got this through a "Stupid Deal of the Day" as a 2nd guitar to my Taylor 740, and I am very pleased. I'll use it for any situation when I don't want to take Mr Taylor, such as camping, bonfires, traveling, outdoor gigs when weather is challenging, etc. The pick-up sounds good enough that I feel OK using it as a back-up performance guitar. BUT - it took me 3 guitars to get a good one. Quality control is apparently very iffy as the first two were not playable (warped neck on one, uneven frets on the other). 3rd was a charm, and Musician's Friend was VERY cooperative in paying return costs and exchanging, so it was worth it.
