Comments about Michael Kelly Series 60 Jumbo Solid Top Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is my first Michael Kelly guitar and now I have a second ordered. I am a fan of this company because of this guitar. First off, this guitar is beautiful. There is no other way to describe it. The spruce top is perfect and the flame maple back and sides are stunning. The dark rosewood binding is the perfect contrast to the light woods and really pops.

This guitar sounds amazing. It is fairly bright due to the maple but the tone is kept in check by the size of the body. I love the sound it makes and it was the perfect addition to my collection.

Now the bad. I couldn't give this guitar 5 stars even though I am in love with it. My first down side was this thing really isn't a true jumbo. It is only slightly wider and deeper than than a standard dreadnought. This was not a big deal for me but definitely something an online purchaser needs to be aware of. I reality it makes this guitar much more playable that your standard jumbo. The biggest issue was a couple of high frets 13 and 14. Also not a big deal for me but if you are scared of a little fret work or don't want to take your brand new guitar to the shop to fix a couple frets you might want to look at another guitar. If you are a little more adventuresome though, you will be rewarded with what has to be the finest guitar for the money. You would have trouble finding a guitar this nice for twice the price. Grover tuners, bone nut, Fishman electronics with built in tuner, exquisite wood and craftsmanship. If you are thinking about this guitar I highly recommend it.

Comments about Michael Kelly Series 60 Jumbo Solid Top Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have purchased numerous acoustic guitars over the years and I have never had this problem...the action, regardless of any truss rod adjustment, is too low to be playable. Notes do not ring out above the 12th fret. I added a shim under the saddle to raise the action, but it seems to be interfering with the response of the under-saddle pickup. I will need to buy a new saddle piece and have it professionally fit to this guitar.

Comments about Michael Kelly Series 60 Jumbo Solid Top Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was hesitant at first but now I'm glad I took a leap of faith on this guitar. The neck is 100% straight with low action. The maple back and sides do not have the mellow tone of a mahogany or rosewood body but I wasn't looking for that. This guitar has good upper frequency as well as mid and some lower but, being maple it will be more upper.
The quality was great, nothing to complain about.
I would point out that there isn't much info out there concerning dimensions so here they are: Lower bout=16, mid bout=11, upper=12 1/4, body length=20.5, body depth at back=4 7/8, in front= 4 1/8. Total length=42". I wish I had this info before hand so I could also order the case but this info seems to be a state secret or something.
Overall I am 100% satisfied with this guitar.
