Comments about Mitchell 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I almost don't want to call this an entry-level guitar because its sound is good enough and its ease of playing is such that you won't grow out of it. Most entry level guitars don't have the balance of bass and brightness that this guitar has plus they don't have the built in electronics.
The intonation stays accurate up the neck which is where cheaply manufactured 12-strings fall apart, as they get sour sounding past the 6th or 7th fret. The guitar is of course very bright and you are part of a small group or are a soloist, you may want to choose mellower strings to tame that a little.
I've tried more expensive 12-strings that lacked the warmth of this model or that had less comfortable necks.
The one complaint I have, and this applies to most factory manufactured instruments, is that some setup work was required to bring the action down to where both the playability was acceptible and the intonation was perfect, something which is very important for 12-strings. This meant bringing the bridge height down considerably and filing the nut groves down.
I would strongly recommend this guitar to anyone that wanted to try their hand at a 12-string, less expensive models will probably be disappointing, and once you hear the fullness of the sound that comes from this guitar, you'll be hooked.

Comments about Mitchell 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

At this price point, it does not get better. Solid top, good fit and finish. Would recommend this to someone wanting an entry-level 12string, or a backup for pro. 30 years playing experience.
