I got this guitar for christmas this year and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the overall performance of this guitar. Of course, I played other, more expensive guitars to see how this one compared, like Taylors and Martins, but even with the cheap price tag, this guitar kept up with the $2000+ guitars in the store. I am extremely pleased and do not think I will need to purchase another 12-string for a long time. The only things I had to buy for it were a strap and a removable pickup to play with my band.I had to replace the strings, which is a must with almost all new guitars, but everything was excellent out of the box. The action is just right, and the finish is amazing. The tuning heads work great and the headstock is beautiful. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a high-quality 12-string on a budget. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.

I wanted a 12 string to play occasionally but didn't want to spend a lot. I think this guitar has pretty good components but it comes with a very bad set up. I had to adjust the truss rod and sand the saddle and also replace strings. I think if you had to pay someone for the work I did it wouldn't really be worth the cost of the guitar and work done. After I did the set up it came out pretty good and has a really full harpy sound to it. I wouldn't suggest this gutiar unless you could do the setup.

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I really like the guitar; had played it at GC and decided to buy.
It came with badly oxidized strings. When I removed the protective cover on the pickguard it left a glue that was almost impossible to remove. Had to use acetone nail polish remover to finally get it off.
Musicians friend was nice enough to send me a set of strings at no charge.

    Not thrilled

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I've read both good and bad on this guitar, and I usually have good results. This wasn't the case with this guitar. By the time I got it almost tuned, it had developed a huge crack. Didn't order another one. Just refund, will pick something different. Would not reccomend this guitar...

    Amazing sound for the price

    By LeoLover612

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I have owned a few twelve strings in my time and have been looking for one that has high end features at an affordable price. I recently bought this Mitchell at a local store. It was used but in fine shape. After playing other guitars within a similar price range I was amazed at the tone of the Mitchell as compared to the others. I also was amazed at the fact that it is a solid spruce top for the price I paid for it. I would gladly buy another Mitchell guitar and I highly recommend this 12 string as it will only get better with age due to the solid top. Buy it now!

    Sounds and plays great, but.....

    By MusicMayne

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar from a local guitar shop after I test played it many times. I fell in love with its sound, playability, and price. But after owning the guitar for about 3 weeks, a large crack appeared in the maple top that ran from the bottom of the bridge to the rear of the guitar (parallel to the strings). I quickly returned the guitar and picked up a martin 12 string. Since I returned it, I noticed the same guitar and its sister 6 sting both with the same crack. I recommend getting some sort of extended warranty if you buy this guitar because you may run into the same problem.

    Great Guitar

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I'm a some-what beginner I feel that this guitar provides excellent volume and tone. Also the quality is fair for the price (overall value). It also has good action which provies better playing. Though the tuners are not the best which means you have to tune it often. I play Beatles music and I say that it plays well.

    rich, warm and sweet

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is great. It looks great, stays in tune, the action is good, it's fun to play, and best of all, the tones that you can get out of this baby are great. My favorite tune to play on this is Tangerine by Led Zeppelin - it sounds almost exactly like the recording. Great fun at a great price.

    Nice 12 string!

    By Sweet Tater

    from DesMoines, IA

Comments about Mitchell MD100S12 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I'm a street musician and I bought this because I needed a "beater" 12 string. I played this in the guitar store and was pleasantly surprised by the sound, the playablity, the quality construction and the price. I didn't want to spend much, but this is a lot more guitar than I expected. While it doesn't sound like my 1968 Martin 12 string, it's more playable and I would rather play this guitar on the street. In fact I wouldn't be embarrassed to play this one anywhere! It may not last as long as the old Martin but for the price it's a pretty sweet guitar. Gitcha one!
