Best of everything

By trusoundstudios

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

Love this guitar! The best aspect is how comfortable it is in your hands and on your body. I've been a professional working musician for 22 years and guitar tech for the last 10 years. Ive owned and worked on Les Pauls, Strats, Teles, a 1982 Ibanez Artist, PRS, and dozens of cheap knockoffs that I tinker with extensively. This ax has the most comfortable neck ive ever played on. The pickup selector switch is positioned perfectly to avoid the accidental movement by flinging your arms to much. Nice in-between tones in pickup position 2 and 4, not sure if its split pickups or series/parallell, I havent looked at the specs. I love the bridge, solid mount, strat type, very stable and lays comfortably on the body. The only thing I would change is to widen the next just a touch and increase the string spacing at the nut, this is only necessary if you string up with really thick strings like me (11-52, tuned to standard 440, 5/64 string action at the 12th fret, .10 neck releif at 7th fret) I replaced the nut to increase the string spacing and if I get too wild, the high E string will fall off the edge of the neck, not that big of an issue though if I play a little less aggressive. I have an extremly violent right hand and beat the hell out my guitars, this one is very stable and maintains its set up for several gigs and string changes.

Still my favorite!

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

I have two Axis SS, one w/soapbars and piezos in stereo (purple, 6 yrs old) and my main guitar, a 10 yr old straight two HB w/vintage trem. THE BEST NECK EVER, period., and for two years before that I would play one of the MM's every time I was in GC in San Jose, couldn't help but love it, but it was like I was buying EVH's guitar. Okay, nothing against EVH, but had this dumb thing about playing "his" guitar, right? Glad I stopped being such a wienie!! (the 2 HB is even in the flame top orange). I've been playing almost 45 years, played them all, many great guitars, but none like the SS. Tone, quality, everything in one axe, plus the BEST neck ever. 5 way switch is perfect, maple fretboard just plain almost plays itself. The 2 best guitar deals I ever made, no BS.

THE One

By Marshall Gibson

from Beaumont, TX

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

I have owned and played a Les Paul Studio and an American Strat for the last 15 years. I got to the point where I was bored with both of them. Not to mention the fact that I was hauling 2 guitars to every gig. I had always wanted an Axis ever since it was the EVH signature guitar so when I found out that the Axis Super Sport had a 5-way switch that could get those mid-cut Strat tones, I had to have one. The neck is incredible, pickups are good and punchy for any rock stuff, and positions 2 and 4 on the switch are great for the funk tunes and country songs my band plays. Great for any style of music. The pickups have a well-defined sound for full chords and cut through the band for leads. The birds eye maple neck and quilted maple top are gorgeous and the guitar itself is very balanced and comfortable to play. The asymmetrical neck contour fits my hand perfectly. I am hoping to get another one with a tremolo soon. Stop hauling a Les Paul AND a Strat and get this guitar!

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

this guitar plays so nice. this is what a premium guitar is. I have a quilt top and it is megan fox sexy. American made and build quality way nicer then gibson and fender......even prs. Every aspect of this guitar is flawless and well planned out. I tune down and the tone is crushing on high gain....lower gain can be funky, jazzy, quacky, any tone i may need. If you get the chance play one and see for yourself....you may love it .

This Guitar ROCKS

By Loose Change

from Petaluma

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

I first bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar, thinking that it was the guitar that I dreamed of...Unfortunately, in reality - it wasn't. Then, I heard about Music Man guitars and tried the Axis Super Sport and immediately like the play-a-bility of it and the sound. It sounded ballsey with a dirty tone, but also chimey and bright in the clean tone. I've had it for about two weeks now and I look forward to playing it. It records incredibly too!

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

One of the best guitars that is made. I'm convinced that Ernie Ball does not make bad guitars. Very comfortable neck with locking tuners and very awesome looking guitar. Dimarzio pickups make for one of the beafiest sounding guitars. Perfect guitar! Buy it!

Best all around guitar

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

I'm not just saying this is the best all around guitar because I have one. Seriously, this is a FAT soundin Les Paul, and Strat all in one. The tone and sustain are amazing. No matter your style of playing, this is the one you need. This is the second one I've owned, and I'm not letting this one go.

Words cant describe how awesome it is

By STecatolls

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

My guitar teacher has this guitar and since were close he lets me play it. When you hold it in your arms, it just fits there prefectly. The fret is the best I've ever encountered with so far. It feels so smooth and it allows you to move your fingers quickly. Like I said, you cant describe it in words...I can go on and on about it but it will take to much space. So if you have the money GET IT.

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

I wanted a new main guitar for post-hardcore, indie and experimental stuff. I was playing every guitar I could get my hands on to see what I wanted. This guitar was it. I got the all rosewood version and I love it. Rock, indie, metal this guitar does it all. Best neck i've ever played. You really have to play one to understand...just get one.

Comments about Music Man Axis SuperSport HH Electric Guitar:

By far, the best guitar I've every owned. The sound, fit and finish, quality and smooth feel of the fretboard/neck are superior in comparision to anything I've played. This product is well worth the price tag.
