    Music Man

A broader, more defined tone while retaining the familiar shape and feel of the original Luke model.

Guitarist Steve Lukather has been an endorser of Ernie Ball Music Man guitars for years with his own signature models that are no different than the ones he plays on stage. The Music Man Luke Signature LIII HH Electric Guitar represents Steve's evolution towards the perfect performance guitar. The LIII features a larger Alder body, (3% larger profile than the standard model Luke guitar), 22 fret full rosewood neck and new passive Dimarzio pickups with custom Music Man active preamp. Electronics include a dual Humbucking (shown here) or H-S-S pickup configuration (our sku# H80758), volume control and a passive tone control with a new Push/Push switch for an adjustable 12 db Volume boost. Similar in style, the Luke III exhibits a broader, more defined tone while retaining the familiar shape and feel as the original Luke model. Other standard features include a Music Man Vintage tremolo and 5 way pickup selector switch.

Comments about Music Man Luke Signature LIII HH Electric Guitar:

This guitar is incredible, the neck is something that needs to be played to be understood. Bends go on forever and sustain on this axe is just utterly ridiculously long. The trem system is very functional and never gets the guitar out of tune. I have to say that in buying my next guitar i had a budget of 1.5k and tried PRS, gibson, fender, in that range. The Luke beat them all (and i really wanted a gibson les paul studio), the only guitar that comes close to the luke is an american standard strat with rosewood finerboard.

Im not saying buy this guitar blind, but youll do yourself a huge favor by at least trying it out like i did, i got way more guitar for my money and learned about a big secret, which is music man. I not a fender/gibson sheep anymore

Comments about Music Man Luke Signature LIII HH Electric Guitar:

One great guitar and I have several! Music Man really got this right. It is everything they say it is and can do. You will have to get used of the neck, like I said a different kind of neck. When you bend strings the note is a little further
than a PRS or Ibanez neck. I don't know why but I know what my ear tells me. Enjoy!

Comments about Music Man Luke Signature LIII HH Electric Guitar:

Bought this used from Musicians Friend. Came in a great flight case. Guitar looks great (black). Plays like a dream. Intonation was perfect and its stays in tune. One thing about this guitar is the whammy is great! No locking nuts (locking Sperzal tuners) and its stays in tune ever after heavy use. Passive pickups sound great (sounds like my Gibson SG in the bridge) The only complaint I have is the switch for the pickups is a little sensitive. Also the neck is a bit smaller then I am used to (might be great for people with smaller hands). Overall the craftsmanship on this is top notch. Its nice to see a family owned company like Ernie Ball produce great products like this. I am now a Music Man fan and promoter.

Comments about Music Man Luke Signature LIII HH Electric Guitar:

I was addicted to EBMM guitar after i bought my first Steve Morse Guitar! the craftsmanship is exceptional !!! the tone, the sound, in the end the quality is in the details. i hesitate to buy a Luke guitar before because i don't like active pickups, but with the passive DiMarzio pickups in the Luke III, i just couldn't say no anymore!!!
