The Music Man Luke Signature Model Electric Guitar combines hot electronics, a sleek body, and an oil-finished maple neck with a prominent V-profile. The electronics are active (with an easy-access battery compartment) and employ an active EMG model 85 humbucker in the bridge position, and 2 EMG SLV custom single coils forward. 5-way selector gives instant access to a palette of tones. Hardware includes a MusicMan vintage tremolo and Schaller M6-IND locking tuners that ensure accurate tuning and intonation. Includes hardshell case.

I have two of them now and everything about them is awesome. The neck fits like a glove, the EMGs are versatile and soulful, and the trem system stays in tune and is easy to manipulate. I bought a Suhr Modern Carve Top thinking there always is something better, but I am underwhelmed by it and find it stays in the case and my Luke(s) stay out.

Being a big Lukather fan, I bought the first Luke I saw at GC. Love the sound, love the feel & the features, but after playing this for just three years now, there's some serious fret wear (I always use EB's strings 9- just like the factory setup)and I've also had problems with the strings starting to cut into the bridge plate. I, too, had difficulties with setting the intonation as well. For the price, I expected EB to use better materials. Hopefully, when I decide on a luthier, some of these issues can be resolved.

First off, I'd like to say WOW. This guitar has shocked me since the day I picked it up. The neck is incredibly smooth and and pick up configuration is amazing. I love the active EMG's and they sound amazing, on clean and distortion. Overall this guitar is well worth the money.

My fiancee bought this guitar on a whim for me the other day. I have some nice instruments in my collection, and have owned/played just about every brand from Ibanez, Gibson, Fender, Fernandes, Guild, PRS, etc. This guitar rocks! The humbucker sounds great distorted or clean through my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. The single coil pickups are a little weak when clean but still have a good tone. The neck is awesome, rounded like a Gibson Les Paul but w/ a narrow fretboard. My hands are of avg size and I have no difficulty playing complex chords or running scales. Check it out, you'll be impressed!

I bought this guitar in March, and have never looked back. Fast, extremely comfortable neck, very light weight (easily the lightest guitar I've ever played) and incredible tonal range (the EMG's produce everything from warm clean to screaming metal leads). I've been playing it through a 2 x 12 Mesa Boogie Lone Star and the tone that I get is nothing short of amazing. If you're in the market for a highly versatile guitar, look no further.

I have owned and used a lot of guitars. This MM Luke really answered all the questions I have been keepin in mind. I'm not into active pick-ups but the EMG Lukather set is great. The level of each strings are so defined. All types of music can be given "justice". Another added flavor is that I'm using the one with piezo. What more can I ask for? God has given me an awesome guitar that can play anything. Very satisfied!!!!!

This guitar is very nice. I have used it for a couple of weeks, and the neck is incomparable. It is beyond any necks I have ever seen or played. The small, curvy V-shape neck allows supreme comfort and playability. For you shredders out there, this guitar will boost your speed by enormous amounts. The sound is quite good, nothing particulary special to my ears, but a decent sound all the same. The guitar is certainly unique, and if you have the chance, please have a look.

Stop into the Local music store, saw this nice simple black guitar on the stand, plugged it into the nearest amp, a Roland Cube 30, I must say this guitar has the best action i've ever seen ever, so smooth it just feels like its meant to be played and not hung as a shrine on your wall. you can carry it around on stage and not be bogged down by weight.. Also the Piezo pickup is Killar you could almost get aorund not brigning your acoustic to a gig with this thing.

I've owned a lot of guitars over the years and this one is without a doubt the best one I've ever had. It's very versatile and the fretboard is great having allowed me to greatly increase my speed. It sounds awesome and plays great. The EMG pickups are the best! I love the locks on the tuning keys. Two things about it that have always bothered me.1. It's a lot heavier than any of my other guitars. I find I can only stand with it for about 30 minutes before my bad back starts crying.2. I've never been able to get the Intonation on the low E string perfect. The average person would not notice it, but I notice it and it kind of bugs me. I've owned this guitar for quite a while (about 4 years) and have been very satisfied with it otherwise!

I've played for 20 years, mostly playing covers. This guitar covers the entire range from metal to clean ballads. I'm thinking of swapping my backup guitar for another Luke. Awesome guitar!
