An affordable classic with vintage specs and style.

The rough-and-tumble Classic Vibe Stratocaster '60s evokes that musically adventurous decade, with a few modern features added. The alder body has a classic finish; the '60s-era vintage-tint gloss-maple neck has a rosewood fretboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets and a modern 9.5" radius. The thick tone comes from the alnico V single-coil pickups--quick attack with a bit more midrange force and a knockout bridge pickup. Custom staggered polepieces provide improved string-to-string balance.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '60s Electric Guitar:

I got this used for much less then normal price. At that price point I still feel like I paid too much. I do not see anything great about this guitar period. Decent looking piece of wood for the body with a decent finish. Fretwork less then good with sharp fret ends and just bad drilling in several spots. The straplock was mis drilled and dowelled and redrilled both the holes for the trem claw were misplaced and screw went through the inside when I tightened up the tremolo tension. Made in China and you can tell instantly. Did a bunch of upgrades right out of the box and I still don't like this guitar. How anyone could compare this to a USA Strat is beyond me , save your money up and buy a better guitar.

      Phenomenal at any price.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '60s Electric Guitar:

Fit, finish, cosmetics, electronics--everything excellent. As good as an American Standard. The Classic Vibe series is magical--I don't know if it's the factory or what but it's superior to any of the other lines in the Squier brand. 6.9 pounds; good electronics; you might choose to put quarter-sized rather than dime-sized pots in it, perhaps Lollar or other pickups but this is ROCK and Roll!! I play clean and get five distinct voicings from the pickups. One can roll off to midrange and get decent "woody", natural tones. Second and fourth positions have the authentic Strat tones. Was able to get this special factory run model for a discount below the already more-than-reasonable asking price. Swallow your allegiance to USA-made Fenders just this once and get an axe just as good for 4 to 5 times cheaper. Get a case with some of the money you save--this one's a keeper. Spank that plank!
