I purchased this guitar about 4 years back and have loved it ever since. The sound was always amazing, and it was very easy to play. I was able to help teach several people to play using this guitar because it is very comfortable. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good low/mid priced guitar. What i was very unhappy with was the quality with which it was made. I recently found it broken in two pieces. It had snapped at the connection of the neck to the body. Upon inspection of the broken part, the wood that holds the neck together was very soft, and there was little to no glue where it should have been. The guitar i once loved was destroyed because of very poor quality in assembly. I gave it a good rating because its playability is phenomenal, but the quality (from my experience here, i've never heard this happen to anyone else) is questionable. Like i said, i've had this guitar for years and never had a problem with it, and it wasn't until i looked behind the scenes that i saw the cheap work. Loved to play it, not happy with how it was made.

I got this as my first guitar, I've had it for a year now and it worked pretty well as a first guitar to learn on. Now that I've learned to play, I find myself wanting something with a better tone and lower action. I've thought about having the action lowered but I don't want to spend the money on a guitar that I don't really like. For the price, this guitar sounds pretty good, plugged in it can sound a little brassy though. I don't like the thickness of the neck, I've played two of my friend's Martins and When I picked it up I immediately realized what I'd been missing, so now I'm saving up for a Martin D-15. I gotta have some tone or I'm gonna go crazy.

Comments about Ovation Celebrity CC24 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I got this guitar at the beginning of the summer as a birthday present. I had wanted an ovation for a while, and I was thrilled when I got it. So far it has even gone beyond my expectations in some ways.I really love the feal of this guitar, and the synthetic body feels great and is very comfortable. It came with the acton nice and high, which is a preference of mine. As acoustcs go, It plays somewhat more like an electric. The sound is wonderful. You would think that a synthetic guitar would sound worse than a guitar made of wood, but this guitar sounds great. Unplugged, it's really nice. Plugged in it blows you away. No buzzing anytimeAny person wanting a sturdy guitar that's good for traveling, look no further. I have bumped it thousands of times taking it places, on hand railings, walls, poles, you name it. But because of it's synthetic body, it doesn't leave a scratch. For anyone reading this review, I would recommend this guitar. It's just simply a great instrument, and I say go for it.
Comments about Ovation Celebrity CC24 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I have owned this guitar for three years now, it has amazing sound, is incredibly durable. This guitar makes a good thrasher or just a nice guitar. I have had mine through water, drunks at parties, music festivals, and in the outdoors allot and I have no fret buzz at all. One of my favorite parts about this guitar is the versatility in sound, you can tune it low or high and it still has great sound no matter what. I've been using this guitar nonstop pretty much. I just keep changing the strings and it just keeps playing, it's invincible.

I bought the CC24 about six months ago, and i love it. I went through a couple brands of string before I absolutely fell in love. If you want to make it sing beautifully do yourself a favor and out on a new set of Elixir poly's. In my case (52-11) wer perfect! Buy this baby!

I bought this guitar as a present for myself for gettin in the band at my church. I have played guitar for about 4 years and I have played a few expensive guitars, but nothing comes close to my Ovation. I love this thing! There is never feed back, the built-in tuner makes it easy to keep sounding good. I believe that this guitar, even though it's and acoustic, sounds better than my American Fender Strat. Buy this guitar!!

i had played various acoustics before this one, and when i played the celebrity for the first time, i fell in love with it. i played it in the music store for probably over a year, and my parents finally bought it for me on my 21st bday. it was my backwoods companion that carried me through hard times in my trailor for 6months and i still love it. never loses sound. great guitar!PS: sounds like a dream plugged in
Comments about Ovation Celebrity CC24 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar about a year ago and never had any real problems with it, sounds great through an amp or unplugged. the only thing is when you get you should lower the action a bit. i play acoustic/pop- punk music like never shout never. but this is great for any genre of music.
Comments about Ovation Celebrity CC24 Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
'Bought the Celebrity from used stock, (although tags were still intact,) must have been a showroom demo in perfect shape. Great playability & sounds great plugged in with a minor bit of Eq tweaking. I'm a "campfire strummer" at best, but still needed to find an inexpensive way to plug in for a few charity gigs. I upgraded from a non-acoustic Ibanez dreadnought that I love dearly, but this Ovation is really an incredible value. Neck has great feel. Simply tuned it up, (with the built in tuner I wasn't even expecting,) and started playing. Sure, you can spend a ton more on a Martin or Takamine if you're in that league, but for an entry level to average skilled player that wants to plug in with a great looking guitar, look no further. I couldn't be more pleased. Ovation deserves a "standing ovation" on this guitar.
