Comments about Ovation Elite 1868 TX Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Okay, I was skeptical. I'd never owned an Ovation before, and at this price point, could it be good? Yes, in fact, it is excellent. I love everything about this guitar. The neck feels amazing, and it stays in tune very well, even in changing conditions. Real spruce top and maple neck. Excellent pre-amp that provides a very natural acoustic guitar sound. Lightweight and comfortable to hold, the thin body makes it a pleasure onstage. Doesn't "roll out" as I have heard about other thicker Ovations. And, if it matters, it looks very cool as well. If you are looking for an acoustic with a thinner body for comfort onstage, this is the one to buy.

You have to own it to truly appreciate it...

Comments about Ovation Elite 1868 TX Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have owned the Ovation 1868T Elite Acoustic-Electric, for about 5 years now. I bought it Christmas of '04 and since that day it has hardly left my hands. This guitar weighs next to nothing with its carbon fiber body and it plays as easy as an electric without a doubt. I use Martin 80/20 Bronze Medium .013-.056 gauge strings on it and it sounds like heaven. The sound resonates from the guitar beautiful and the low-end booms through the body like its not even there. I've never played any acoustic like it and neither have any of my friends! It definitely turns heads and when you start playing it, it'll turn even more heads. So.. Play it. Love it. Own it.

Comments about Ovation Elite 1868 TX Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have a CS257 Ovation and it sounds excellent. The 1868tx is awesome too. It sounds excellent and has a built in tuner which my 257 does not. I'm playing a ultrasound amp and I don't think you could have a better sound. The face of the guitar s kind of like what the back of an ovation is made of. It is a rough kind of material. It's tight!
