A more affordable Parker with bolt-on neck and flamed maple finish.

The Dragonfly Bolt-on is equipped with most of the great features Parker is known for in an elegantly carved new shape, showcasing a new, more traditional and ergonomically shaped upper horn while retaining the look and feel that is unmistakably Parker. The flared headstock provides more strength and allows for a thinner profile and a faster, more comfortable neck. The Maxx Fly also features a 22 fret fingerboard enabling precise placement of the neck pickup for that classic neck-position tone. An HSS pickup configuration and bridge-mounted Fishman piezo pickup to create a wider palette of tones that today's guitarists demand from a high-end instrument. Pickup mounting has also been improved to allow players to swap out the included Duncans with the pickup of their choice. Parker's new exclusive radial neck joint ensures better transfer of tone from neck to body and a precise fit with no slippage due to lateral sliding.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Comments about Parker Guitars DF724 Maxx Fly Flame Top w/ Seymour Duncans and Fishman Piezo Electric Guitar:

I have owned and do own several guitars. This one is my first Parker. It is one of the best guitars out there for guitar players. The only question I had about the guitar is that it came with Fishman Piezo pickup system and Parker has now changed over to Graph Tech system. I called Musiciansfriend and I was told they checked into this for me and that the guitar came with Graph Tech Piezo system. THEY LIED - The guitar came with the old Fishman system. Musiciansfriend lied just to make a sale, even if I sent the guitar back. I didn't send it back because it was that good of a U.S. made guitar, but I gave an ear full to Musiciansfriend. The only reason Parker went with Graph Tech is because Graph Tech system will talk to midi, which I don't need. I will not look at Musiciansfriend first, for my new gear because of the lie I was told.

Excellent guitar! Only a couple very minor flaws.

Comments about Parker Guitars DF724 Maxx Fly Flame Top w/ Seymour Duncans and Fishman Piezo Electric Guitar:

This guitar is just gorgeous. The pictures do not do the finish any justice. I ended up getting the finish I liked the least on here, because in person it was just too captivating. One of the best bookmatching jobs I've seen on any flame-top. (Only the reeeeally nice PRSs I've played seem to have done a better job) Flawless bolt-on neck joint, neck plays and feels like a dream. Super-duper thin body and excellent sculpting on said body. This guitar is among the most ergonomical instruments I have ever played. Excellent choice in pickups, and the piezo system sounds almost flawless. Piezo/mag switch feels cheap, ended up breaking on mine. Cheap fix, but still an inconvenience nonetheless. This is legitimately a real Parker at a more affordable price.
If you're considering this guitar, you already know the specs and what it's got. It could have more, but it doesn't need more. The features suit my needs and anything I'd feel it needed I'd just personally add myself later on.
Gorgeous sound. Unreal sustain. When you hold this guitar in your hand, it may not feel like a Select Fly, but it feels like a well-built/thought-out product. It provides a balanced/even tone throughout the whole instrument's range with adequate low & high end to compliment the rather mid-heavy tone. I really dig the accentuation of middle frequencies because it gives the guitar a great presence and allows it to easily cut through any mix. Rather susceptible to rapid humidity/temp changes, it's a bit tempermental.
As much as I adore this guitar, it has a pretty steep asking price. However, this guitar does deserve a high price tag, genuinely. This guitar is worlds ahead of the LPs that cost the same price. Beware the name-brand. (I must admit that Parker has been riding on its rep and kind of eating away at it's legacy though. Some parts on the higher quality guitars are being replaced with the lower-end stuff to speed up production.)
