Parker Guitars

Brilliant Fly body design, Seymour Duncan pickups, and solid mahogany vibe — it's all the way there.

The Parker Fly Mojo Electric Guitar is light, fast, and amazingly versatile. A solid mahogany body and neck provide warm resonance to the thick, bold tone generated by genuine Seymour Duncan Jazz and JB pickups. It's light in weight but far from a lightweight, churning out creamy, luscious sounds with enhanced lower mids. Famous Fly playability and comfort are combined with simpler knobs and a more ergonomic control layout, easier-to-use vibrato, improved electronics, carbon-glass fretboard, Fishman 6-element piezo system, and Sperzel locking tuners. Includes hardshell case.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

I have owned and played my Parker Fly Mojo for several years now. I also own and play iconic guitars from Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, Gretsch, and Epiphone (custom shop). There is no best guitar for me, but there are guitars with vibes and feel that match different gigs and styles. Going to a session, not knowing what I'll be playing , I'll carte enough to cover many styles. Playing a dedicated gig (blues for example) I'll take the axe that feels and vibes right for that style. If, however, I'm doing a live date that jumps from one style to another with no time to change guitars; my guitar of choice is the Parker. With a wide tonal range, coil splitting, split output to send the piezo direct and the pickups to my amp. This one guitar can cover it all. Also the parker has made me a better player. It can always do more than I can give it, and it can show me my weaknesses as well. It absolutely ?plays like butter?, is not affected by heat or cold, can stay in tune practically all day/night, even with serious string bends; and the whammy is adjustable from fixed to free floating. Four things you must do: Always put the whammy into fixed position to tune it; Always match the spring to the gauge of your strings; and if changing to a hybrid set make sure you completely set it up before getting to the gig so you can change springs if necessary, (don't ask); and always carry a spare battery. If you are a dedicated player of one model, say a Les Paul, you probably will not feel right with this guitar, but if you need flexibility, or a one stop guitar, check it out.

Well, I ordered one Parker Fly, and it was great..Like I said in my other review, it played like a dream, but after a few weeks, my Piezos quit working..so I send it back. I get my newest Parker Fly, and it's even better than the first...Other than the fact the the switch for the bridge in the back (to return it to home position) broke in half the first time I tried to move it. This guitar plays and sounds great, but it has a lot of mechanical faults.

Parker Fly Mojo Review

By Patrick-lb8R8

from Long Island

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

I have had my Parker Fly Mojo in Blue Flame for a number of months now and it has become my electric guitar of choice. I really love it but do not consider it perfect but close. The build quality is top notch, it sounds fantastic and it capable of producing an amazing array of sounds. The SD's scream, the piezo is nice and the split coil option gets a great Fender strat sound. The guitar plays very well but you cannot lower the action really close (like a Jackson for instance) due to the design of the bridge and frets. This doesn't matter to me because the neck is very fast and easy to play. On the negative side, the documentation that came with it is very light and this is an issue because the bridge is not easy to figure out. I basically keep it on fixed mode. The locking tuners are nice and mine stays in tune well (and is intonated well) in this mode. I think the Floyd Rose on my Jackson is better for playing with the trem but that might be due to my reluctance to take the bridge out of fixed mode.

Amazing instrument

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

Well I got my Fly Mojo a few weeks ago and am still blown away by it. The quality and playability are second to none and this is coming from a guy who's main guitar is a Caparison or should I say was. The neck and fingerboard are the best on the market hands down. Smooth and super fast and the stainless steel frets are amazing. It is amazing how it is so lightweight yet has awesome tone and sustain. Versatility is the name of the game with the Mojo. The Duncan JB/Jazz combo along with the peizo can do everything from hard rock and metal to jazz and everything in between. Great job Parker. You have another convert.

Versatility

By Matt Schaffner

from El Dorado, KS

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

As a professional musician who has to play in a variety of styles with the same variety of tones, the Fly is the way to go. It allows you to go from a mellow acoustic to screaming lead to the clean tones of a Strat and everywhere in between. If you're looking for a multipurpose axe that covers a lot of bases, the Fly is a good buy.

Too perfect - But yet lifeless

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

I have used this guitar quite recently when my friend decided to come over to my house to unbox and test his new miracle guitar. I myself own a Gibson Les Paul and I'm quite used to a thick feel and a guitar full of power and a perfect full tone. When I saw it, I was rather influenced that it was the perfect guitar due to its vast amount of features and playability modes. When I tried it out I was in for a big surprise. I was kind of disappointed because I expected a much more powerful tone from such an elegant and rocking guitar; it's really smooth on the bends though, but at the end of the day I realize that it is completely overpriced and empty. I also felt that I couldn't add any funk and feeling in my play since it just seems too perfect... But in fact, it isn't at all. Because in music, it's the player that matters and not the instrument. Of course this is my personal opinion, and others might disagree- fair enough.

LOVE my Parker

By Andrew-YzUgy

from Chicago

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

First off, to the reviewer that said they had trouble keeping their Fly in tune- Mine stays in tune for months WITHOUT using the tuner locks. You may have a problem with yours that needs to be looked at.And to the reviewer comparing the Fly to his hollow-body guitar and saying the Fly sucks- you are misleading others that may want to buy this guitar by comparing apples and oranges. Now, for people who want some versatility and who may have a sore shoulder after playing a Les Paul (i still love my LP though), find a music shop that has a Parker Fly and play one to see if it's right for you.My Parker has the fastest neck I have ever played, which is made with a carbon-glass epoxy. I've always wanted a Gibson SG for the weight and thin body, but the Parker gives me this and it looks way cool. The sustain is amazing for crunching metal, or you can use the coil tap to get a Strat sound if that's your thing. The Fishman piezo system is awesome too. You can get a cool acoustic sound and even combine that with a clean electric sound from the magnetic pickups with the included stereo output cable. The sound that comes out of this thing (if you know how to use it) is just so sweet to the ears. and it's unique if you're tired of the same old floyd rose bridge, rosewood fingerboard, boring design, etc, get a Parker.

It's average.

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

This guitar has very nice workmanship, but that's only when you look at it. If you sit down and actually play it, you find out that the sound is thin and splotchy. The feel is off. I own an Ibanez Artcore, and the feel of that guitar is amazing. Comparing this guitar with one that I actually own, it just doesn't compare. When you play it, it feels like your playing an acoustic. The guitar just has a thick feel, even though it's so light weight.

Totally versatile

By Stringman-T5vJt

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

My Parker Fly blew me away when I took it out of the box. Great craftsmanship, awesome feel, and the sound? Forget it! Fat when you want it, funky stratocaster, and sharp, ballsy lead! Add the bridge peizos, and you have a rainbow of sounds unavailable on any other guitar. I dream at night about this instrument! I wanted one single solid body guitar that would do it all, and I got it in the Parker Fly. I am now a total Parker nutcase, and I have more than one.

Very nice!

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

Finally got to try a Mojo out last week. I've owned 4 different Parker guitars and presently use both a Nitefly & 90's Delux, but the new Mojo is better than any I have owned. As soon as I am able I will buy one. I used to never be Jealous of what other guitarists played, but not anymore!

NO FEEL

By Guitarist202

from Paris, France

Comments about Parker Guitars Fly Mojo Electric Guitar:

I played this with a friend and I couldn't stand it. It just feels lifeless, its so light that there's no connection with it, no feel that you and the guitar are working together -I know that is cliched but its true- The sound is just ordinary, nothing special. I can honestly say that my Affinity Squier had a better feel. With this kind of money you could a really nice fender or if you must a gibson.
