The Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar has a solid spruce top, and solid back and sides. Braces are hand scalloped and cosmetic appointments are elegant. The PM310M is finished in an ultra thin "open pore" finish that lets the sound come through loud and clear.

Whether you've been playing for years, or are looking to upgrade to your first high quality guitar, Parkwood is your only choice for solid woods, expert build, exceptional playability and real tone at an extraordinary price.

    Open Pore Finish
This finish is applied in several layers that allow the open pores of the wood to be felt and to also allow the wood to breathe and vibrate at its best. You can actually feel the wood grain, like it was a raw unfinished piece of wood. The tone of an open pore finish is loud, alive and natural.

Top - Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis)
Sitka Spruce comes from the Pacific northwest and today is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka is a bit stronger and stiffer than other spruces. Its strength and toughness make it well suited for steel string guitars.

Back & Sides - Mahogany (Khaya ivorensis)
Mahogany is softer and lighter than Rosewood. Generally, Mahogany is warmer and has more low end, providing a strong, thumping bass with an emphasis on clear, bright, airy, trebles. It's also used for bracing, binding, end blocks, heel blocks and necks

    A Real Awesome Soild Guitar

    By Humble in Worship

    from Merrick NY

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Overall the Guitar Sounds Great, action perfert when I recieved it- woods are soild and perfect.

someone said that they like it better than their EpiAJ 500M -
I have them both and love them both - they have their own different sound- which would be up to someones ears and taste-
but overall----this is really a guitar that you will be proud of and it will last forever.
    buy it-------
and the Gig Bag is so so Beautiful ---
Great Turners - believe they are Grover -with Black Knobs
    All Soild wood-
All Soild Woods- no glue marks - every seam ,edge fits perfect.
sound is load but not tinny.
I can not tell you how much I paid - because I got it as a left over -But New and Mint.

    Amazing Guitar once setup..

    By nobody special

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The guitar arrived in desperate need of a setup. The action was way to high and a couple of the frets were a little sharp around the edges. I also had the frets crowned and leveled as well. Changed the strings to a heavier gauge and wow! Big Big improvement. After the setup was complete the tone was just amazing. Warm and balanced. My setup guy was also very impressed, and went so far as to say he'd put it up against guitars costing three times as much. I totally agree. I also had a complete L.R. Baggs iMix system put in with a Baggs M1 instead of the element. Now the guitar is complete. It's now my main recording guitar. A single mic and the iMix and it's like heaven. I love this guitar and I love it even more with the iMix system in it.

    P 310M

    By longbow

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I'll make this short and sweet. Ordered a Epi Masterbuilt AJ500RNS from MF and rec. it promptly. 5 days later ordered the Parkwood 310M and was here when I arrived home from a short vacation.Bottom line is that the Parkwood beats handsdown the EPI for sound quality and playability. Plus it has a very nicely made gig bag with it and it is a hundred bucks cheaper. Now I have played off and on throughout the years but just lately have started to get back into it. My wife on the other hand has played since she was right around 12 years old so that is right at 42 years of playing. She is pretty damn good at it. She owns a Guild G37 from 74 that I bought her. The Parkwood comes closest in shape and sound to her beloved Guild. The EPI I will say is maybe a bit louder but the sound isn't as sweet or melodious as she put it. The Parkwood is a bit more dressed up and uses solid mahogany back and sides verses rosewood on the EPI. The Parkwood frets way way easier and had a stellar set up out of the box as compared to the EPI. The EPI for some reason has very high strings. Construction paraemeters are about the same with I think the edge slightly going to the Parkwood. Sound is where it is as at along with playabibility and to me and her the Parkwood ranks above the EPI masterbuilt AJ500. thanks

    nice guitar

By The Boss says it's ok

    from Portland, OR

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar has a wonderful tone right out of the box. I have a Martin DX-1 and this is a much cleaner sound. Bright but not harsh like some guitars can be. The Martin has better boom and does sound nice while the Parkwood is a dry woody bass (much like a taylor or Santa Cruz) which does make it sound more balanced across the spectrum. It's full but falls somewhere between a Taylor and a Martin. It is a very good value for the money. Does it blow away higher end Martins and Taylors...Gibby's ???- NO. But in my opinion it is real close. Sound is so subjective. It has Good action and set up and the nicest gig bag I ever seen. It is lightweight and resonant and you feel the whole thing vibrate when you strum. And it is loud and does not compress when strummed real hard. When I finger pick it has nice presence with out me having to really dig into it. I would honestly say if they were priced about $700 they would sell the exact same amount of them as they are at the $500 price point. It sounds closer to a $1000 guitar -maybe more -maybe less depending on who's playing. A nice plain jane understated guitar with TONE.Stays in tune and the best satin finish I've seen compared to the masterbilts and the Martins.

    Superior instrument and attractive price!

    By Wayne-gxANU

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The Parkwood PW310M dreadnought could easily replace higher priced dreads. With identical strings, it sounds as good as my Larrivee LO5. All solid wood, correct bracing, and advanced finish techique deserve a higher price. The PW is tops in elligant simplicity with perfectly clean inside craftsmanship. Highly recommended!

    Amazing Sound!

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I was trying out acoustic guitars one day, and this Parkwood just blew me away! Its sound is incredibly crisp and bright and altogether very beautiful. The only thing that stopped me from buying it was the price, but I guess I will just have to save up and buy it someday, just because it's so awesome.I also wish they would give more options on color and such. But if sound is all that matters to you, buy it for sure!!

    so so good!!!!

    By pillsburysbest

    from atlanter

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I have my Parkwood PW310M for almost 2 years now. Got mine from a huge retailer when they 1st came in. I was in the market for a "Loud" acoustic. The salesman pointed to the new Parkwoods that had just come in...off the slow boat from Korea. (Boy does Korea make some pretty darn good guitars!!!). I picked it up and couldn't put it down! The guitar wasn't in the expensive "Acoustic Room", so I took it in there to compare to the Martins and Taylors, and this is hard to say...but the Parkwood blew the expensive guitars away! No kidding!! Try it out for yourself! As the owner of (currently)18 guitars, I know a little bit about the service that happens after the sale. If you need a really nice acoustic for a really nice price, this guitar is for you. Nice action, nice tone, easy to play, built very well...I could go on, but you get the idea! Also..the service guy at Parkwoods website, in Ca., really takes care of business! A-1 is my review for this baby!

    More for the money

    By Musicmanking

    from Albuquerque, NM

Comments about Parkwood PW310M Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I did my home work before purchasing this guitar. Parkwood offers more for the money Compared to anything else out there. I feel I did not compromise quality for budget. All tone woods, dovetail neck joint, neck, head, and body binding, these are things you would find on guitars that cost more $. But most importantly it sounds great. Just go and play a bunch of different accoustics and you will see what I mean.
