I purchased this primarily to experience a smaller 3/4 size instrument so was initially disappointed that it was a full size instrument. Even though Musician's Friend's very kind Customer Service representative assured me they would accept it back, I don't think it'll be easy for anyone to pry this sweet sounding bliss box from my ecstatic fingers. The neck is perfectly straight with glistening polished jumbo frets, a phat and juicy high output bridge pickup and dead quiet electronics, accurate and stable sealed tuners and solid through body easily adjustable bridge. The basswood body is light and, compared to mahogany or ash body tone woods, provides a deliciously soft edged and fluid tonality with impressive sustain and lovely lyricism. Even if you're not a TMNT glorifier the graphics are pleasing and from a distance look more like a jungly Hawaiian shirt than a quartet of action heroes. For a meager outlay, you'd be hard pressed to find more fun for your funds.

Got this for my 6 year old for Christmas as his first guitar. The price was great, it has a real pickup and a flat neck. The guitar set up very easy and stays in tune it almost intonated. It's so close that it takes an experienced ear to really tell which is why I gave it 4 stars. The craftsmanship is better than average Chinese, but not great by most terms. The neck is good round shape for young hands. I'll sand and polish it up a bit to smooth it out unfinished as it is. It sounds like a kids guitar so I assume the body is plywood; however I haven't taken the thing apart to see nor will I. My kid loves the Turtles.

Comments about Peavey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Rockmaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this at stupid price, it is so cute, I bought it for my wife thinking it is a 3/4 size, to my surprise, it is actually a 25.5 scale , with a narrow neck, I am the lucky one to get a close to perfect guitar, I am very picky about string action and I want to set up nicely for my wife to learn to play, I have many guitars, from expensive vintage Strar to cheap ones, funny thing is all my expensive guitars I upgraded electronics, have luthier level frets , replace nut and saddle, cost me a lot of money, and this little guy is perfect, just need to change to a better string, in one word buy it , I'm keeping it for myself, honestly, I can gig with it, it's that good.

Comments about Peavey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Rockmaster Electric Guitar:

The neck on this guitar feels great for the price I picked it up at. I have considered swapping out the tuners, volume pots, and input jack to make this thing a serious player. Bought if for my niece but I use it more than her. Great cheap buy!

I bought it for my 7 year old Grandson, and my daughter told me that it is not a cheap guitar.
It was delivered directly to Georgia, I ordered it from Michigan. Too easy. Wow dad she said,
it's a beautiful guitar and sounds good.

Nice Graphics, ok sound and pick-ups, but string height from the frets was a little to much for comfortable playing above the 12'th fret

Comments about Peavey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Rockmaster Electric Guitar:

"Made in China under strict Peavy guidelines and regulations" The components are "cheap" but not "junk". It's a playable guitar. Needs set-up, hex wrench for the truss rod included. You can do this yourself or find someone experienced to do it. It's a small guitar (3/4 scale) and light weight. It's designed for kids, but adults can play too. It comes with a strap, cable, a couple picks and a hex wrench (all "cheap"). Really, tho, it's the TMNT graphics that have you looking at this guitar. Is it junk? No, it is not. Will I install a better pickup? Maybe!

Comments about Peavey Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Rockmaster Electric Guitar:

I bought this as a Christmas gift. After I started to set it up, I was surprised to see that it was very close and really didn't need me to set it up for beginning guitar. I was impressed at how easy the setup went; no string buzz and intonation was easy to set. I played this through a small 15 watt practice amp and my Marshall AVT275. It sounded good through either amp. The neck on the guitar that I received was a well built neck and the electronics were as nice as a guitar costing three times the amount that I paid. I am sure that my 11 year old grandson will love the guitar and the Ninja Turtle graphics. Due to be a collector's item one day. (Note - There is no whammy bar, but I did not want one on a guitar for my grandson to learn on.)

I bought this for my son's 5th B-Day. I actually thought I was getting a smaller 3/4 scale guitar. Although the body is a smaller cut than a Strat, the scale length is a full 25.5". This thing actually sounds good and plays good, too. I wouldn't hesitate to jam this guitar!

This is a perfect example of Peavey's attempt to build a nice instrument at an affordable price. Made in Asia, the guitar is a Christmas gift for my grandson, but I have played it and you could take it on stage and do quite well with it.
