Hi just got one of these babys with the floyyd rose trem, what can I say? if you want a rock guitar then this is it. looks, fast neck and playability its got the lot. Been through lots of guitar including fender strats to les pauls but my hands and ears truely preffer this one. qulity and value compared to four figure guitars, well trust me keep the cash in your pocket and get one of these. Nice one peavey.
Ive playen about 4 years now and in that time ive played my shair of guitars, and let me tell you this guitar takes the cake, jumbo frets, fast neck and the factory pickups arnt that bad, but i think just for the fun of it im gonna throw an invader in the bridge position. over all GREAT GUITAR
I ordered this guitar last week and it came today which was only 4 days....AWESOME. This guitar is great, great feel, not heavy, sick looks, and pretty decent pickups. The tone is sweet and the stock pickups are alright but I suggest getting EMG's, Duncans, or Bill Lawrences depending on ur taste. Good value overall, one of the easiest guitars to play, overall sick. It was ready to play right out of the box, no adjustments except tuning. Great low action too! I got it in the pearl white and it is sick. It comes with gold hardware and hollow grovers that look pretty insane. Neck-through design is great and the neck is pretty fast also, great for rhythm or solo players.....If you're considering, then get this guitar!!!!!
Well, one of my first guitars back in the 70's was a Peavey T-60. It was one of the worst guitars I've owned. But this one, WOW!! I luv it! Very very good deal for the money. Peavey has come a long long way in thier quality and my hat's off to them for putting out a very good guitar.
Perhaps an unfair reveiw because I own a slightly different model (the EXP), but I figured it was quite close. This guitar is awesome! The action is the lowest and best feeling out of any guitar I've played. The layout is beautiful, not very complex at all. My humble belief is that that is what the amp is for anyway.
Fat neck and big frets equal speed for people with large hands. The tone is excellent as is the quality.
This is by far the all around best guitar ive ever had, the quality is amazing for the price. I play alot of metal like shadows fall and lamb of god, and this guitar sounds and looks perfect for it. I suggest getting this model, the string-through, instead of the tremelo version becuase of the resonance and better clean sound that you cant really get with a floyd rose guitar, plus its a hell of alot lighter. The ceramic pickups it comes with are ok, but I suggest putting some EMG's in it or something like a seymour duncan invader.
This guitar was made for rock. FEATURES: Alder body wings, with quilt maple top. Electronics are simple. Two humbuckers, one volume, one tone, 3 way switch. Grover tuners. Neck thru body construction with strings coming through the body. 2 octave fretboard which is fairly flat for shredders, but not too the extreme like some others I've played. You could play rhythm on this neck for extended periods without getting overtired like extremely flat fretboards. Body design gives easy access to upper frets and has contour on backside for your ribcage. The humbuckers are not very versatile, but it's a rock guitar. Surprisingly, the pots gave a broad sweep in both tone and volume instead of from silent to full on with a slight knob turn. APPEARANCE Fit and finish were excellent. No bleed over on the binding whatsoever. The Vandenberg style body is unique and visually pleasing without getting too bizarre or being uncomfortable to play. Mine has the purple quilt. The abalone inlay around the body, neck and headstock make this guitar a real looker and the work was excellent. PLAYABILITY: Needed a slight truss rod adjustment to give the neck a little more relief, but the guitar plays true up and down the fingerboard. No fret burrs or sharp ends. The neck thru construction and string thru body gives the guitar some vibration that you can feel in the back of the neck (that's a good thing!). The high output humbuckers are a "one-trick pony" and are only OK for the rock thing. Different pups would make it sonically more versatile.
This guitar is amazing! It is a must buy! You can hit low end notes, and high end, and both sound GREAT! This is truely an amazing guitar! It has high gain, awesome tone, cool looks, and quality parts on it. If you are looking for a good guitar, you found it!
This guitar is a MUST for shredding! the neck is so fast, and you can really get to the high notes w/ the neck thru body system. The tone is top notch, and the pearl binding is so totally sweet! My friends are in awe every time I show it off! BUY BUY BUY!
The Peavey V-type is a heavy rock guitar. It is made for those of you who like to rock harder. The rosewood fretboard melts like butter in your hands and the result is unbeatable speed. However, it lacks a little in tone, but replace the pickups with a pair of duncans, and that can solve that problem. I have owned this guitar for a total of 2 years, and I would never change to anything else. Props to Peavey for introducing this speed demon machine!
I was extremely please with the quality and playability of this guitar when I received it just after the holidays. It has tremendous sustain and is lighter than I expected. A good value for a limited edition
