The PRS goal: "Uncompromised tone, playability, and beauty."
The PRS 25th Anniversary Santana Curly Maple 10-Top Electric Guitar boasts shadow bird inlays, a headstock eagle, purfling strips on the body, Santana pickups with covers, and the patented PRS tremolo.
The year was 1976. Carlos Santana was in his dressing room waiting to play a gig at the Capital Center in Washington D.C. A tall, slender 20-year-old Paul Reed Smith with abundant curly hair and wire-rimmed glasses made his way backstage with a guitar he'd just built for Peter Frampton. This was the start of a lifelong creative partnership between Carlos Santana and Smith that has done much to shape the destiny of Paul Reed Smith Guitars.
To celebrate this pivotal alliance, PRS is proud to present the 25th Anniversary Santana guitar. Appointments include a carved quilted curly maple 10 top, 24-1/2" scale length, 24 fret bound mahogany "Santana" wide fat neck, and a rosewood fretboard.
