Comments about PRS Hollowbody II Electric Guitar:
I've purchased PRS guitars before from Musician's Friend. The last time I purchased one, I received a email from Chris Swope asking me how I would like it set up. I would tell him I would like it low without buzzing. I even received a checklist/card saying a final check was done by XXX. That guitar played like silk right out of the case.
Fast forward a few years when I purchased this guitar--I got nothing. No email, no checklist, no setup, nada. The action was really high, it was pretty ridiculous. Also, the guitar is suppose to come factory stock with 11 guage strings. I am 110% sure these came with 10s'. Either somebody changed strings or PRS stopped shipping these out with 11s.
In anycase, aside from it not being set up, I LOVE this guitar. My only gripe is I can't believe MF would not do a set up on a $3400+ guitar. I'm quite capable of doing my own basic setup, but still; this thing should've played like butter right out of the case.
Thanks for the great deal Musician's Friend, but you guys need to set these things up before shipping them out. The setup was pretty horrid out of the box.
