I've owned this guitar for a month now and am absolutely in love with it. I've owned Fenders, Gibsons, and the Parker Fly. None of them exude the quality, both in build and sound, that my PRS McCarty Soapbar does. It is expensive, and it's fairly limited in terms of features - just two pick ups and a three way switch - but when a guitar feels and sounds this good, who cares? I would thoroughly recommend this guitar to anyone.
This is the second PRS I've bought in the last 2 years. To all the guitar players out there who take there craft seriously, this guitar delivers the goods. If it at all possibly for you to efford it buy it.
I love the sound of this guitar. Very responsive to where you pick. I don't spend alot of time switching pickups, just move the pick postion. Exceptional tone and feel. abloslutly love it. If you think i'm full of it you should know i've owned 5 other PRS guitars of verying expense, i wouldn't trade this for any of them.
I played this guitar a Guitar Center once. It was just beautiful. Evey form of music you want if will play it, like that. I used a Fender '65 amp to play it. The PRS creats a rain bow of sound. Form blues, souther rock, metal, classic, funk etc... It is my Fav.. But if you don't have the cash, like it do,settle for a Fender Eric Johnson, or if less, less, cash a Epiphone Casino.
