Redesigned piezo circuitry lets this splendid solidbody electric deliver full acoustic sounding tones.
The PRS P22 Pattern Regular Neck Flame 10-Top Electric Guitar is the company's first piezo-equipped solidbody guitar. The P22 comes standard with a figured maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, and a redesigned PRS/LR Baggs piezo system. PRS and LR Baggs partnered more than a decade ago to design the piezo system found in PRSs popular hollowbody models.
This new system retains the same circuit design as the existing system, giving the P22 the same tonal authenticity and real world practicality as PRS hollowbody guitars. The redesign of the board itself yielded a version that is more than 60% smaller than the original PRS/LR Baggs system, allowing it to comfortably inhabit a solidbody guitar. Uncovered 53/10 pickups round out this guitars specifications and help define the P22s voice. Seperate acoustic and electric outputs are available with the option to combine both pickup systems through a single output using use onboard controls to adjust the balance.
Piezo systems have long allowed guitarists the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric guitar tones in one instrument. The PRS Hollowbody II and Singlecut Hollowbody II both come standard with the original PRS/LR Baggs piezo and have achieved a great level of popularity in PRS Guitars product line. The addition of a solidbody model will give musicians a new and unique tool to add to their own lineup.
Enjoy fantastic acoustic and electric sounds combined or via seperate outputs. Order today.

Comments about PRS P22 Pattern Regular Neck Flame 10-Top Electric Guitar:
This guitar is a typical PRS: incredible construction and aesthetics. What makes this particular PRS so unique is that it is a standard Solid Body electric guitar that includes a 2nd output for the Piezo pickup. I have never heard a piezo pickup in a solid body that sounded as good as an Acoustic. This guitar changes the game. The acoustic sound you get through the piezo is nothing short of astounding.
I bought this guitar so that I could serve in a band as the acoustic, rhythm electric, and lead electric in places. An example: start a song playing lead electric through the intro. Flip a switch and then play acoustic through the verses. On the Chorus, acoustic AND rhythm electric. Back to lead electric for the Intro.
The possibilities are endless. No need to switch guitars on stage, just flip a switch. I have also run the two outputs into an ABY so that I can control the switching with my foot.
I am drawn to PRS guitars. Unique look and tone. For my personal preferences, PRS is the way to go.
