OVERVIEW

A PRS for players who prefer a single-cutaway body, 24-3/4" scale, and vintage tone.

The PRS SC 245 is a classic guitar that is ready for anything: gigging, recording or providing creative inspiration. Adaptable to a variety of musical styles and perfect for players comfortable with short scale guitars, the SC 245 electric guitar is a perfect choice for players who prefer more traditional single-cutaway bodies.

This unique PRS SC 245 electric guitar has a carved curly maple top and a mahogany back and neck. The 24-3/4" scale length and vintage appointments make this electric guitar instantly comfortable to players who grew up using short scale guitars. A comfortable wide fat neck profile offers exceptional playability. The 22-fret bound East Indian rosewood fingerboard is dressed with bird fingerboard inlays. A natural maple body edge highlights the classic single-cutaway PRS guitar body.

This PRS SC 245 guitar is loaded with covered sweet sounding vintage style 245 humbucking pickups. These pickups and their placement under the strings give the PRS guitar a voice that is classic, eminently recordable and gig ready. The SC 245 also sports nickel hardware, a PRS stoptail bridge, and vintage tuners mounted on a thin headstock. Includes a hardshell guitar case.

GET ONE WHILE YOU STILL CAN

By Bluesguitarman

I received my Paul Reed Smith SC 245 today and let me tell you it is a thing of pure beauty. The finish and build quality of this guitar is Amazing! I will probably change the strings from the stock 10's to 9's if I can't get used to them, but that's a matter of preference. The pick ups can deliver all of those classic tones which this guitar was designed to deliver. If your in the market for a single cutaway, look no further. And to all you Gibson fan's, I've owned many Gibson Les Paul models over the years and not that this guitar put's them to shame. But it does come out a winner! It's finish, quality and vib won me over, not to mention that it is much lighter on your back.

PRS SC 245 = AMAZING.

Well I tried this godly guitar up at Woodsy's because I am a BIG PRS fan... but I don't have one :( If we were to compare one of these to a Gibson Les Paul it would blow it out of the sky because: It is much more comfortable (the cutaway spots for more comfort), it is lighter, uses the same kind of wood, easier to reach the upper frets because of the cutaway and it just sounds better all together. I currently own a Gibson Les Paul studio which is chambered and they are around the same weight. PRS for the win! Rock on Alter Bridge!
