This guitar is amazing! Finally, I have a guitar that gives me the sound I've always heard in my head, but could never really find. The fret work is stunning even better than on my other PRS guitars. The finish is flawless and glossy and even better than on my other SC. Sound wise the pickups are sweet, sweet, sweet and very classic sounding. They are warm with great articulation and really respond well to my pick dynamics. Overdriven tones are smooth, buttery and never get muddy. PRS guitars seem to get better and better and are way better than that other famous single cut style guitar. My other guitars are collecting dust.
This guitar is amazing. The build qaulity is exceptional, the action low and buzz free right out of the case, and the sound is fantastic. If you're looking for a dual humbucker single cut style guitar with vintage sounds then this is the guitar for you. I've owned five Les Pauls and this blows them out of the water. I've always had to make adjustments to my Les Paul standards like change the pick ups and tuners. But, this PRS is great. It is every bit as good as my Jimmy Page Custom Authentic at a fraction of the price. Clean sounds are fat, warm and smooth and it sounds great for Texas style blues to jazz tones. Overdriven it has that Clapton era Bluesbreaker bark we all know and love. It sounds beautiful playing classic rock at higher gain levels and will also cover 80s metal ala R Rhoads. The pickups respond very well to picking dynamics with greater note definition than with the LP. What more can I say?
