Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
I went to Sxx Axh on W48th in NY today to buy a PRS SE Bernie Marsden but alas they have none in stock and indeed none in the USA.. so I played 14 different guitars to kill some time...
I played 4 different PRS SE guitars, 2 PRS (US) guitars, 2 Shecters, and 4 different USA made Gibson guitars ranging fromn $7xx-$9xxx.. but wow wee.... the QC on the PRS KILLS the Chrysler like QC of the Gibson's, merely GIBSON in name today it seems .... very disappointing for GIBSON but not surprising given South Korea's leap in technology especially for manufacturing.... clearly Paul Reed Smith cares about quality..........
The best quality of ALL the guitars I played was a $7xx PRS SE 245 Ltd guitar... Rolls Royce quality.. I mean IMPECCABLE, sublime and I should know we manufacture products in S Korea, NYC, LA, Tokyo, India, Australia and China and seriously the Korean quality to price ratio is the best for anything but for guitars even the absolute quality is amazing.... on par or better than USA....
MY only bug bear was the FAT turkey neck at the base and thin scale at the neck.. drove me nuts but as a lifelong STRAT player it may just be my problem.... also those fliipin birds on the fretboard drove me nuts as I got the extra long scale 12th fret mixed up with the 15th etc... MY BAD.....
I also liked the PUPS on this puppy, very perky when required and filthy nasty when cranked...
Startling stuff but when rated I gave the PRS guitars all 90/100 upwards and apart from a 59' Gibson with PERFECT tone, build and WEIGHT none of the USA Gibsons, Schecters, ESP etc could come close to the PRS...
The USA made PRS were even a notch higher.. great stuff.. but pricey.. but for $5xx-$7xx check out a PRS SE KOREAN (Sth) made axe... great stuff
but this is a guitar for blues, rock, jazz NOT speedy HEAVY METAL...the FAT Turkey neck takes some speed out of the equation...........
I also liked the Schecter Solo 6 Custom but some of the finish came off in my hands in a simple 10 minute session

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
I ordered/purchased this guitar from my local music store in Tortoise Shell. After it arrived I hated the color, but it played so nice that I had to have it. PRS SE's are great guitars for the money. I also own and SE Santana that I love. After replacing the pups to 57 classics, this guitar sounds fantastic through my Marshhall TSL601. My wife solved the color issue for me. I am going to have custom graphics created for it. Our nephew was a U.S. soldier who died in Iraq. I am honoring him with his portrait on this guitar. I can't wait to see the final product.

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
Honestly I wasn't sure I was going to like it. My previous favorite being an Ibanez with super thin original wizard neck. Now after playing this really comfortable and well finished neck. The Ibanez feels like I have a cellphone for a neck. The guitar is not heavy but has a nice heft to it that feels great. The wrap around bridge also give a perfectly smooth and comfortable palm rest. Loving this guitar far more than I expected to may be a prs convert now. Really any of the prs se line is a fantastic value for the money. Great fret work great looking finish. Do yourself a favor and try one of these guitars out for yourself.

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
Very good guitar. Very good distortion. Especially good for classic rock. Boston, Foreigner, Van Halen.
I bought this for my son who has been playing guitar for 8 yrs. He has a stratocaster style G&L already. This is his first LP style guitar. I read all the reviews and compared many of the similar guitars in this price range and this is imo the best for the price. I have listened to him play it for the past 2 weeks and it sounds great. He is very impressed with this guitar as stated above.
Musician's Friend customer service was great!

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
I played a crummy cheap Lyon guitar for two years before buying this based on my admiration for Mark Tremonti. This guitar was a huge upgrade from what I was playing and I must say that for the price, this is the best guitar I've ever played. I have a Line 6 Spider IV amp that sounds excellent with this guitar. The SE feels very durable and may be a bit on the heavy side, but none of this inhibits the great crunching and smooth tones put forth by the stock pickups. My next guitar will definitely be a PRS and I'd reccomend this guitar for anyone who is either played for a year or two, or just wants a feasible instrument to jam on.

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
I was originally wanting the PRS SE Custom 24 (2012 model). It was on back ordered so I was looking around and seen the SE245 in the tobacco Sunburst. I thought it was a very nice looking instrument. I decided to give it a try. I am NOT disappointed in any way. It plays and feels as good as my American strats. It came set up perfectly out of the box. It stays in tune with no issues. The guitar is darker in person than the it looks like in the picture and is absolutly beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone. Try it......You will NOT be disappointed.
I am still planning on getting the SE custom 24 :)

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
When I played this guitar, fell in love with it and couldn't put it down. The guitar is absolutely stunning aesthetically and PRS is known for that. But what really struck me about this guitar is for this price range, there is not one guitar out there this versatile for different types of music. My brother is a musician and you can play blues or hard rock on this thing and it sounds phenomenal. I paired this with a Hughes and Kettner 20th Anniversary Amp and man it cranks out some great tones. Recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent value and great craftsmanship.

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
I'm going to keep this short and sweet! We all know that PRS makes high quality guitars, so it was no surprise that the SE 245 would fulfill that expectation. Everything about this guitar was perfect...and better than I could've imagined. I'm typically not too concerned about the colors of guitars, but was highly attracted to the Tobacco Sunburst. I originally saw this color available on the SE Custom 24 and loved it, however noticed the 245's Tobacco Sunburst seemed to look a little lighter and more yellowish in the stock photo. Upon its arrival, I was very pleased to find the actual color was darker and more orangish, much like the Custom 24. Bottom line...this guitar is way better looking in person. Almost like an orange sunburst.

Comments about PRS SE 245 Electric Guitar:
This guitar has the flatest fret-board I've ever seen. Easy playing.Tone om my gosh best tone for under a grand that your likely to find. Played strats for years. Just needed to switch to something easier to play as the shorter scale length and lighter gauge strings makes for easy playability. As I'am dealing with cubital tunnel syndrome that makes my pinky, ring and middle fingers numb, even after surgery. Anyway this guitar has got me back to playing on a regular basis again. And I got it as a 3rd here at the friend, dont know why, doesnt have a scrath on it. Got the tobacco sunburst. went over to the prs website and seen they are know going to be issuing a tortise shell finish, may have to pick one of those up as well, I wish they would offer it in natural with black hardware. Anywho My next guitar will deffinatly be another prs se maybe the kornia singlecut?
