I have owned this guitar for something to effect of about 5 years now. It has been a great guitar and has held up very well. I generally play it through a dual-head setup using a MusicMan HD130 and Mesa Triple Rectifier. The only thing that I don't like about the SOUND of this guitar is that the pickups are so incredibly "hot". I use my MusicMan head for clean tones and generally find that, while my Fender Jaguar sounds crystal clear, the PRS SE sounds like I still have the gain cranked up. This is a dual-humbucker Jag too, not single coils. I've never been able to get a GREAT clear clean sound out of it. The guitar is, however, awesome for distortion. It sounds amazing through my Mesa. It also plays very very well. Quality-wise I found it to be acceptable, but nowhere near perfect. An imperfection in the wood of my headstock eventually made a small chunk break off. I never smashed the headstock into anything, but one day I just happened to notice there was a piece gone and I couldn't even find it to glue it back on. We're talking a VERY small piece on the back of the taller point, so it was no big deal. I just colored the bare wood red and made it a bit less noticable. Secondly, one of my moon inlays has fallen out... or... in? I can't really tell which. Either way, my 7th fret inlay is recessed. You can't notice this while playing, but it's still a real bummer. I am about to dive into a fun restoration project with it and upgrade to some pro-level PRS humbuckers, Phase II tuners, and play around with some wood veneers to refinish the headstock. I'm going to look into filling in that 7th fret as well. We'll see how it goes! I'm excited to breate some "new life" into the instrument since it used to be my favorite guitar until I bought my Jag. All-in-all it's not perfect, but I don't regret buying it. I'll keep it (spruce it up a bit) and pass it down to my kid one day.

Well this guitar, as it is, you get an average guitar for the price range. tweek it a little and you get the more expensive PRS sound.. start with the pickups put something with umphhh, like an EVH pickup, EMG new x series or mighty mite c4 pickups, put a bone nut, cahnge to a locking tuner, shield the electronic compartment if you are using a passive pickup, shield the pickups too. fool around with capacitors and resistors.  put a 680pf capacitor and a 150k resistor.. follow this and you will get a huitar that sounds better than the PRS guitars that cost 5 or 6 times more, trust me on this....

This guitar is probably the best guitar for the price on the market. I bought mine about 9 months ago and I just love it. I play through a Marshall AVT 150 and Mesa dual rectifier, and I get really thick, fat distortion, lots of power, and the cleans are great too, even for bluesy stuff. The playability is great, it will take beginners to that next level, and it will make experienced players kick themselves for spending twice this much for a guitar that doesn't play as well or sound as good. Sounds great on recordings too. Great job PRS.

OK, so obviously this isn't an American PRS, and it doesn't sound exactly like one, but considering the other guitars in this price range, it's a no brainer. The Pickups provide a singing clean tone and, while perhaps not ideal for death metal, easily hold their own in the hard rock genre. the range of sounds I've gotten range from soulfully bluesy, to roaring rock, I cannot reccomend this guitar enough.

This guitar is great,I had it for about 1 year now, and hasn't disappointed me yet.  It has a really nice thick tone to it.  The sound that comes out of it blows me away.  This guitar is worth it to buy, better than any other guitar I had before.  It gets you and tone you want, and pleases you everytime.
