A longer scale, tuned-down model with signature Seymour Duncan pickups.

The band Periphery has become a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal scene with their unique "djent" sound, poly- rhythmic patterns and soaring melodies. Guitarist Mark Holcomb helps achieve this full, lethal sound with PRS guitars loaded with Seymour Duncan Mark Holcomb Signature Pickups dubbed “Alpha” and “Omega.”

“As someone who’s been obsessed with PRS since my youth, it has been an absolute dream to be able to develop my own PRS signature guitar. For nearly the past year, we’ve designed this instrument with the intention of making it not only unique, but something that would satisfy my every taste as a guitarist, from both a technical and aesthetic standpoint. The result is something that truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup, and a guitar that I can undoubtedly say is the best instrument I’ve ever laid my hands on.”
- Mark Holcomb, Periphery

The SE Mark Holcomb model truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup and delivers addictive playability thanks to some unique specifications, including a 24-fret, 25.5 in. scale length wide thin satin maple neck with 20 in. radius ebony fretboard. Holcomb’s signature pickups provide the right amount of output and articulation whether you’re playing sophisticated chords or solos and whether you’re playing alone or working in the mix of a band. Other specifications include a quilted maple veneer, black chrome hardware, and a 3-way blade pickup switch with push/pull tone knob for coil splitting.

Comments about PRS SE Mark Holcomb Electric Guitar:

I had high hopes for this guitar after reading as many early reviews as I could find, I was definitely not let down. I was in the market for another guitar and was originally going to purchase my third Jackson because I love the necks... This things neck is incredible. I've only had this guitar a few weeks but it's already become my go to for anything lower than standard tuning. I'm still pretty blown away for how amazing this guitar feels and sounds for an instrument under a grand. The push pull tone knob also adds a very fun element, I personally won't use it a ton for anything serious but I'm sure lots of people could really take advantage of this feature. This guitar was right up my alley and in my opinion truly a monster, especially for the price. if you're looking at guitars in the 600 or 700 range like I was, just spend the extra money and get an instrument that truly matches up well with guitars that run $1500+. Do it.

Comments about PRS SE Mark Holcomb Electric Guitar:

A superb instrument in every way. Excellent Duncan pickups; beautiful finish (looks ugly in the picture on-line, but in person it's gorgeous, almost purple like my Paul Allender PRS. Wide flat neck, excellent fret edge finishing; bold, crisp sound, and it stays in tune.

It was an open box special and it was immaculate.
