Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

I have owned this guitar for quite a while now and I am very pleased with it. This guitar is built solid, finished clean, and sounds monsterous. The build is very sturdy, solid stable neck, it just feels like a massive piece of wood in your hands yet it barely weighs in at 7lbs. I love the silverbusrt finish with the black painted back and neck. Coupled with white binding on the body/neck/headstock, a blank ebony fretboard, & chrome hardware make the look of this guitar very clean, very simple, yet there's just something about it that draws you in. I must mention that if you're familiar with other PRS guitars, you'll notice that the neck on this is a little thicker shape(Mike Mushok custom carve) but it isn't much to get used to.Then you plug it in and start playing and you are blown away! I play tuned Ab-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb and this guitar holds the low tuning like a rock. Even under temperature changes as teh seasons change, this thing holds its tuning to where others may loosen or tighten to a half step! I have noticed, that some amps and speakers just dont handle the depth of this tuning very well. The pickups are great even though people rag on them for some reason. I love mine. I just tweaked my amp combos, and found what works for me. I blend a couple gain heads, and run an od pedal in front to tighten up the chunk a little and I get nothing but complements on my tone when I play. This axe plays like a dream on high gain, and even the cleans are very articulate and the low end voicing just adds depth to your playing that you never had before. If youre looking to make that jump and add a low-tuned axe to your arsenal, you will NOT be disappointed with this. Its a PRS after all. Mike plays it on the records and in concert for a reason.

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

I bought this bad boy last week and I must say wow!! The cleans through my Mesa/mini rec are out standing, but distorted sounds are tad but muddy. I'm gonna throw in some different pickups to help the distortion out, then it'll be ready to melt some faces! Came set up pretty close to perfect. Looks great to the eyes. Awesome addition to my collection.

(USED) Level 3 - SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

I swapped the pickups for an EMG 85 and a Seymor Duncan Blackout AHB-2 metal....
I'm very happy with my sound!!!! : )
This is an EXCELLENT guitar!
I agree with the other reviews the finish does look GOOD in person!
Ebony fingerboard, mahogany body, great fret work, and the action is SUPERB!
This guitar has sold me on PRS - I'm a new convert!
The pickups aren't that great but I didn't expect them to be.
I got mine at a very good discount because it had been returned.
The knuckle head that bought it before me had tuned it to ( standard tuning !!!!! ) This is a BARITONE GUITAR!!!
I wish some one would have released the tension on it when it got back to M.F. but other than needing new strings the guitar doesn't seem to be any worse off for it.
For me getting a used one the Value was GREAT!

Great mid-priced baritone

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

Over, this is a great guitar. If you're into lower tunings and a fan of heavy, dark riffs, this guitar should definitely be on your radar.
I love the ebony fretboard, binding, bridge and fretjob. The gnurled knobs are great and the selector switch is solid. The pickups are hot and well suited for drop tuning to pick up lower frequencies. The tuners are standard PRS SE tuners, not great but they get the job done. The nut is the only part I found lacking. Mine wasn't fully cut for the top string and feels like a cheaper composite (plastic).
I give it a 9. I'm not a fan of how the nut came, but it will be adressed when I have my guitar shop do a full setup. The action was also quite a bit higher than I'm comfortable with, but again, an easy fix.
Excellent bang for the buck.

Very Nice Guitar

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

Haven't found a thing I can complain about.

Very happy with this guitar.
I was going to get a 30" scale but opted for this one instead. It can play lower and more stable than my 30" danelectro and stay in tune.
Besides that, it is perfect. Really has a nice ring to it and plays well but the fit and finish detail is like a work of art.
Solid guitar solid value.

Perfect baritone

By Tyler Conte

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar a few months back, I got the brownburst color which is gorgeous in person. I was actually very suprised at how the quality of this guitar is for a cheaper guitar. If you tune B to B and lowe this guitar is for you. Ive tuned it from B to B all the way down to E (a whole octave lower) and this thing handles everything and stays in tune amazingly. I couldnt be any happier with this guitar. The only thing ive done is swapped out the pickups for the john pertrucci signature dimarzio pickups which sound insane. Do yourself a favor if you downtune into baritone territory and buy this guitar!!

Very Nice!

Comments about PRS SE Mike Mushok Baritone Electric Guitar:

Loved everything about this guitar. I love how it has no fret inlays to give it a sexy, unique look. I love that theres a simple 3 toggle switch. I love the pickups in it. I love the look of it. I love its simplicity and I love its price! I have a feeling I'll buy this again someday.
To be completely honest, I probably will throw some brighter pickups in it because the tuning is so deop, but for the price, I was blown away by the cheap, stock pickups.
I'm not a big fan of 7 string guitars but love that deep heavy sound, so I sought a baritone and found out that there aren't too many out there! I came across this guitar online and the price was right so I bought it (expecting to return it). For starters, I wasn't crazy about the color options online, but when I opened it, it looked amazing (silver burst). I also expected the pickups to suck becuase its a se, but again, I was blown away. The pickups sound just fine and the bridge pickup is hot!
the ebony fretboard feels like butter and the long neck allows for extremely heavy gauge strings. I had my gibson les paul set up in B standard and it sounded like crap and a good set up was almost impossiuble. I bought this guitar, and put some heavier strings on it and had it set up, and I can play in Drop A with no string buzz and sounds fricken amazing! I sold this because I rarely play in that low of a tuning, but I am leaving this review so you can rest assured you will enjoy it. I know a few established guitarists, and none of them have anything negative to say about this guitar!
I don't care where it was made! Mine played and sounded beautiful!
Worth every penny...and then some to be honest.
