Paul Allender, lead guitarist of Cradle of Filth, is no stranger to the PRS SE Signature lineup. Paul started playing PRS when he left Cradle of Filth and started the band The Blood Devine. He purchased a secondhand CE24 and used it exclusively throughout the band’s days and brought it with him when he rejoined Cradle of Filth in 2000. He then sent a design of his own to PRS featuring a purple and black sunburst on a curly maple top and replacing PRS’s traditional bird inlays with bats. PRS built this guitar for Allender through the Private Stock department, which eventually influenced his original SE model released in 2007. The SE Paul Allender features a 24 fret wide thin maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets, EMG pickups and coil-tapped volume and tone controls.

Comments about PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar:

This guitar feels great, it plays real well. The emg's are not as good as the original pick-ups this axe used to come with, in my opinion(when I 1st played this guitar it did not have emg's, I got it used and these were the pick-ups it had). I still like them though, even clean is okay, but through my Fender frontman I need very few effects to get a real good sound(MXR EQ and Carbon copy)-again, in my opinion. I got this guitar to play Jeff Beck songs and it handles them nicely. Rock, blues and fusion can be managed easily with this axe. Keep 9 volts handy, this guitar has active pick-ups, and shut amp off when you put the guitar down or it will chew up your battery life.

This guitar looks and sounds downright evil! Everything the serious rocker could want - EMG pickups are absolutely stunning. Fast neck, great tone, great look. What else is there to say?

Comments about PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar:

Great guitar for the most part. PRS quality. Made for any kind of music. Clean tones are very clear due to EMG 85/81 combo. Fast neck and easy to play. Only downfall was for such a high price, should have been inspected. The-tone screw was loose and came off. Battery compartment uses two screws. Bad idea, should have in quick access. Where you plug in your guitar cord was loose as well. A bit heavy like a Les Paul. All things fixed, I traded a Dave Mustaine AOD and got this less for less than expected. Awesome beast to play, the bat inlay are unique, the color is amazing and you feel like you are playing a Beauty and a Beast. It's my main guitar!
