singlecut trem

By Johnathan Keller

from Salem, Or

Comments about PRS SE Singlecut Tremolo Electric Guitar:

Well suited for just about any genre of music, I'm a prog, pop rock and metal guy myself, but a buddy of mine wants to start a blues band I can see this as my affordable option for a cross between a Les Paul and a strat.

the trem I'm really impressed with, Over all I was really taken back that the SE line has treasure's like this, considering the fact that from all I had heard in the past was that they where crap guitars, my mind has been changed!!!

If your looking for something with minimalist apointment's and a strong ressianance with good sustain and a tremelo option, look no further!

Like I said before, I'm going to try to swing one of these when I get my eight-string here in a couple of months.
It'll be replacing my Jackson Dinky as my six-string option!!!!
it gets an eight because I prefer a Floyd, but none the less I was grately inpressed with this little guy. It was the first time I'd tried a SE modle PRS, I'm used to playing PRS's that are in the 2-4 thousand dollar price range!

The first thing that struck me was the wieght of this thing when I took it off the rack, quite a bit of heft!
I figured that it wouldn't have an actual maple top, but judging from the wieght, how could it not!!

Overall for this catagory:

single volume, single tone and a three way toggle which I prefer over a blade witch!
my only really somplaint was the neck was a tad beefy.
Felt extreamly well put together. So one could imaging that it would hold it's own in a heavy giging situation.

The trem impressed me for being a non-locking model it held together extreamly well, it's safe to say here and now that I'm more than likely going to grab one of these when I get my eight-string here in a couple of months!!!
The hardwhere is well constructed, the finish was nearly impecable!

Great workhorse.

Comments about PRS SE Singlecut Tremolo Electric Guitar:

This guitar has become my main guitar. It covers strat and les paul sounds enough to where I can just bring one guitar if I need to. It has good sound and has been dependable. It's a comfortable guitar that you can play for hours. I use it for classic rock and southern rock and it covers everything just fine. It's worth checking out.
Guitar has a tremolo that works pretty good once you lube the nut slots. Only doing minor trem work and it seems to stay in tune just fine for that. This guitar has a brighter type of sound than a les paul due to a floating trem and 9's on it. Humbuckers sound good on it.
Very nice black glossy finish on it with no visible imperfections. Fretboard looks nice with properly cut frets . Very comfortable. Set up was perfect on this guitar. Only complaint I had was the edges of the nut were sharp. Quick fix with an emory board if it bugs you.
Worth the money if you need a guitar with a tremolo. This guitar is among the best of these overseas mid level guitars.

Axe with surprise

By rowbeebee

from Bluefield, WV

Comments about PRS SE Singlecut Tremolo Electric Guitar:

This axe is and AWESOME little instrument. You can definitely tell the difference between the prs norm and the se, but it packs a punch! If your looking for a secondary axe this one will do the job! I bought this not knowing what to expect, but surprisingly has made its way into my favorites. I would suggest this guitar for anyone looking to rock and rock hard!!
