I bought the PRS SE Standard in Vintage Mahag. Trem. When I ordered this guitar I was expecting it to be of very good quality being what it is and after doing some research. Needless to say, my expectations were far exceeded. This guitar is of the highest quality. It is a beautiful, solid, piece of wood with incredible sustain. The bridge pick-up scream and the neck pick-up has that perfect smooth, mellow tone. They both sound very well balanced. Even the tuners (which should be replaced with locking ones, due to the tremolo) are excellent. There was no need for adjustments as it was set up perfectly and just slightly out of tune. I need to save up for a top-line PRS. If this SE is that good...I can't imagine what the best PRS is like. The gig bag that comes with it is also very nice. It's the best gig bag I have seen. Very well padded. Lot's of room to store extras.

The guitar looks great, plays great, sounds great, but the type of bridge that these guitars (stoptail piece version) have is not easy to adjust (having no individual string adjustment available). Mine showed up with a serious intonation problem that is only partially fixed after some major tweaking. Save up more money, buy the expensive version.

When i first got this guitar i was KIND OF digging it.I switched the stock pick ups, which werent bad for stocks,But i switched them to Emg 81 on bridgeAnd 60 on the neck. The guitar is great. The only problems i had was ...the thrust rod was set horrible,I fixed that problem my self.the 2nd problem i had was,the tuners kept getting out of tune.Im bound to fix that very soon with the actual Lock tuners.Over all i love it.Its a great guitar.

Great Guitar Overall

I've had this guitar for a while now and its really nice. The only complaint that I have is that the pickups arent the best and the pots are noisy. Once you replace the pots and pickups this guitar is awesome.

I got this guitar in the camo finish 2 days ago and this is the best guitar I have ever had. This guitar has an awsome finish and sounds great. It's nice and lightweight and your hand slides up the neck so easily!

Good guitar

I bought this a couple of days ago. It's probably the cheapest PRS you'll find. I was originally going to get an Epiphone Les Paul, but when I went to Guitar Center to try them out I liked the versatility of the PRS more. I'm able to get everything from a really thick "bass" sound to a nice "twang" depending on which pickup I'm using. The tone knob is very sensitive and shapes the sound very well. The neck is very smooth and plays really easily, one of my friends picked it up before a gig and asked me if he could borrow it (told him no since I was going home). This is a really solid guitar for the money. It's made in Korea, so it?s less money, but still has the great PRS electronics. I like it a lot and so does everyone else who has tested it out.

Worth more than it costs

I bought this guitar about a month ago, and recieved it about a week ago... i wanted the vintage mahogony.. but git the vintage cherry w/ tremelo... i have to say... this guitar is a fine peice of work. I play a lot of metal music... and it is the most versitile instrument ive played in my life. i am truly impressed with the quality of guitar this is.. from the strap bolts to the tuning pegs, this guitar is a grade-a peice of work. comes with allen wrench for the bridge, allen wrench for the truss rod, the tremelo is amazing, its just a slide and adjust tremelo, instead of the typical screw-in... comes with a really really nice gig-bag... i love this guitar... definitely worth more than it costs.

I received the guitar for xmas and its the best gift I've ever gotten. It's beautiful looking, light and has a tone fit for anything. I've played everything from John Mayer to Slipknot on it and it never lets me down. Great action and the neck plays like a dream. Stays in tune very well, too. For the money, and the quality...u can't pass it up

PRS SE

I've been dreaming of owning a Paul Reed Smith, but money wise the kind I want is pretty pricey. So value wise after getting to play this, its worth every cent. Its a blast to play, and it still has the classic PRS look. I bought mine with the Flat Black, and I really love the look in general. Its one thing to look good, but the sound compared to my other guitar(Washburn WI14) shows the huge gap between a Washburn and a PRS. On top of the guitar you get a great gigbag, which has a nice area to store strings and a lot of other cargo pockets in the front. Its a great value, and its easily the best guitar I now own.
