            very nice guitar

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

Fantastic a must buy for metal players
I have had this guitar for a few months, and i gotta say, its a beast, it is great for heavy distortion and metal, but also sounds great for clean sounds, not to mention the floyd rose trem and the neck through
prs has amazing quality control, i was lucky enough to get a tour of the factory in maryland and see how they build their guitars,as well as meeting paul smith and getting my torero signed, and the effort they put into building their guitars is quite amazing, and their method of doing it is genious
I could imagine this guitar costing 2x as much

            ALWAYS WANTED ONE

            By DN MILLER

            from CALIFORNIA

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

NOT QUITE AS VIBRANT AS I'D HOPED FOR ON THE WOOD GRAIN, BUT BEAUTIFUL NONETHELESS. THE FIT AND FINISH ON EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC. I'VE WANTED A PRS EVER SINCE I STARTED PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT SANTANA WAS ABLE TO DO WITH HIS TONE - ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO.
JUST GOT RID OF THE BAG OF BONES, SO I'M ABLE TO BUY SOME NICE THINGS FOR MYSELF FOR A CHANGE. THIS PRS ROUNDS OUT MY COLLECTION: A CONQUEROR, TAKAMINE, CARLOS, FENDER AE, AND A BEAUTIFUL IBANEZ. NOW I CAN JUST PLAY.
MY FINAL PURCHASE WAS BETWEEN THIS PRS AND GIBSON'S STUDIO PLUS. CAN'T GO WRONG WITH A GIBSON I GUESS, BUT I LOVE THE LOCKING TUNERS ON MY IBANEZ, AND THE PRS HAS THEM ALSO. SO FAR I LOVE IT, AND I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYTHING CHANGING. GREAT SOUND ! THIS PIECE WAS READY TO PLAY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, BUT DEFINITELY READ THE WARNING ABOUT THE TRUSS / ADJUSTMENT FOR PRS GUITARS.
KUDOS TO WHOEVER TUNES THESE THINGS PRIOR TO SHIPMENT AT MF !!!
ALSO, THIS IS A REALLY HEAVY GUITAR ! 2 POUNDS HEAVIER THAN MY IBANEZ ! BETTER HAVE A COMFY STRAP IF YOU PLAY STANDING.

            PRS Torero

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

Overall I am unbelievably happy. I knew I needed a PRS and would make the same decisions every time. I have befriended a local shop tech and continue to play other guitars for the point of it but quickly want mine back in my hands every time. It's also nice when the customers whisper, "that's a freaking PRS" in a world with a lot of guitar stores that don't even carry PRS, or ESP, and is dominated by cheaper makes/models. If you want to buy a guitar and not feel like there's a better one out there for the same price this PRS is for you, it's worth every penny.
The PRS Torero was a perfect fit when looking for something that would be fast, play like a dream and had a floyd rose that I knew I had to have for my style of playing. I really am enjoying the quality volume and tone, and 3-way selector. They are perfectly placed and work flawlessly. I was comparing the PRS Torero against an ESP MH-1000 deluxe and before playing them back and forth for a few mins I didn't know which I preferred. I also pulled a Jackson around the same price and just played them all back and forth. I wanted a PRS and knew the quality would be hard to beat but had to play some different guitars to make sure I wasn't blown away and the PRS was really as nice as it appeared to be. When I played the PRS I knew immediately it was exactly what I had hoped. The neck is easily attacked and I feel less fatigued playing this guitar. The woods used through out are the perfect features for sound, quality and feel. The sustain from the neck through and the PRS' ability to effortless throw harmonics left and right left me wanting nothing. ed to be.
When looking at the price range and comparing this PRS to other brands I really looked at the quality I was going to be paying for. I wanted to buy one guitar and not feel like a needed another one for something else. I think most everyone would agree that PRS has outstanding Quality no matter what model you pick. I have owned Ibanez Satch model and several makes and models and this guitar is by far the best I've played. The truss rod is extremely sensitive to adjustment and if your string height is a little high from shipping and a slight bowing in the neck, I would either let a tech adjust it or adjust it less than a quarter turn at a time. PRS' with this style truss rod come with instructions and how to check this at the eight fret. I think this helps show PRS' dedication to ensuring your happy with the guitar. Overall when you receive it or pick it up it should be set up above the competitions general set up. The Floyd Rose was set perfect. The height perfect. The locking nuts etc. The height (bridge) ** etc. The finish, trim, hardware, etc were flawless. If nothing else, with PRS, your money is not wasted regardless of model and price. I'm excited this model came at an affordable price that I'm sure could have went for more.
I rate the value as high as the other categories. All the different aspects going into this guitar from playability to tone and hardware are just superb for a guitar in any price range. If you want a tonal range Joe or Satch demand I would probably pick a PRS with custom pickups or PRS but if your in the market for this guitar you probably want the EMG's anyway! Playing with the neck pickup leaves nothing lacking I must say and makes some of the best melodic sweeps I've heard. Maybe for thousands more you can get a step above this guitar but in my opinion it will not be cost effective. This guitars value is tremendous and matches all the qualities it demands respect for.

            Wow.

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

Incredible value, awesome build quality, and technical design and features worth the $$.
I bought this guitar as my second electric ever, and it's a doozy. Everything about this screams quality. Playability, sound, hardware... etc. For the record, these are now stock with an Original floyd rose trem, and a wide thin neck profile. The pickups are emgs, I don't usually like them, but if your not super tone picky they will treat you well. This guitar gains so much sustain and playability from the neck-through design, it is it's best feature.
Amazing quality. It actually has very good unplugged volume for an electric due to the resonance from the wood quality, and neck-through.
I I can imagine this costing about twice as much.

            Fantastic

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

Not the greatest thing ever, but very, very solid and I would buy a few if I had the money.
If you're looking for a rock/shred/metal guitar it has everything you need and nothing you don't.
I've played plenty of guitars off of the shelf. Most guitars under 1000 dollars generally have problems: poor set ups, loose knobs, etc. Paul Reed Smith has the best quality control out of all of the big manufacturers. Nothing is overlooked: action is always great, buzzing is generally minimal, pickup heights are correct, finish looks great, and necks are very comfortable.
I would say that you could get better features for less on models from schecter or ESP. What you're paying for is build quality. I've dedicated plenty of time to the guitar and I must say that build quality is very, very important and must be accounted for if you want you're guitar to play well even if you decide to change tunings and string gauges. I believe that comparatively, this guitar is worth it.

            AWESOME INSTRUMENT

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar 4 weeks ago and I am now a PRS convert. The build on this instrument is flawless. I've gone over ever inch of this guitar and there are no flaws. The EMG pups and combination on tonewoods give this baby a monster voice. The FR was set up perfectly right out of the box. Mine did not have a gig bag with it. I called PRS customer service and they sent one out. I see how PRS earned their reputation; great products and great service after the sale.

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

really enjoy playing this guitar. neck is not as thin as other makes, like ibanez, but is solid. stays in tune well despite abusing the floyd rose trem. there are markers on top of the neck so knowing where you are is not that bad since there are no fret markers. body is light but sturdy. really like the simple knob controls - one volume, one tone. feels like a cross between by too other guitars: les paul and ibanez

PRS has a large non-metal crowd, but instead of doing what they do...they made a metal model. A little overpriced, but once you but it, youll never go back!Great pickups, wood, floyd rose. The best part is that is feels like a PRS with metal qualities, Worth the money!

            wonderful piece of wood

            By Sheckler707

            from Mansfield, PA

Comments about PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar:

The PRS Torero is one of the best guitars i have played in a long time. and yes, i'm going to tell you why.lets stat with tone quality, the tone coming out of this guitar is massive and voiced very well. the EMGs give it power but a perfect sound as well. the guitar sounds different depending on what amp you plug it into. what about the body and neck? the shape is very comfortable to play with whether you are standing or sitting. warning: the neck is NOT paper thin like an ibanez and skinny like a les paul, it's a PRS neck that's wide and not thin but not thick, but very comfy for someone with larger hands. The white on red is very pretty as well. hardware, yes I have to discuss it. the floyd rose 1000 tremolo (a floyd made in korea)works perfectly to all who have doubts, the EMG pickups are very nice as usual. the guitar came perfectly set up with i believe .09 or .10 gauge strings on it. i had to readjust because i play with .11's.hope you found this helpful!
