PRS

An elegant signature model with a set neck, dual humbuckers and flame maple finish.

Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on the stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be. After months of design and conversations with PRS’ SE team, Zach and PRS are pleased to introduce an all-new SE Zach Myers for 2014.

The 2014 SE Zach Myers features a chambered mahogany body with maple cap, flame maple veneer and single f-hole that provides smooth mid-range tones with a natural, resonant internal reverb. The 22-fret 24.5” scale length wide fat neck boasts a satin finish that gives the guitar a very comfortable, woody, worn-in feel.

Additional appointments to the SE Zach Myers signature model include PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, vintage style tuners, and PRS SE 245 pickups paired with two volume and two tone controls and a 3-way toggle pickup switch.

Includes gig bag.

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

My 2nd PRS, among many other top brands. This is now my main blues guitar! This is a great guitar for the money. PRS has impressed me again! It' feels good to play, leads are easy to hit, and it freakin' growls as it sustain notes.
Guitar rated this one a 3/good. I only found one place on the headstock damaged, already repaired it myself. Thumbs up to Musicians Friend!
        Great guitar, Great price!

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar after seeing it at NAMM 2014. The quality all around on this axe is superb. The body is a hair thicker than an LP or my USA Singlecut and produces a nice focused tone with a ton of sustain. The neck has a satin finish on the back that your hand will glide across. Fretwork is outstanding and playability is excellent. The only knock I have is the lack of locking tuners, but that is an easy fix. This guitar would easily be worth double the price. I definitely recommend checking this guitar out before the lower tier USA Gibson and Fenders. There is a reason this item is back-ordered all over the Internet. No one that has played this guitar believes it was less than seven bills. Buy One Now!!!!

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

I have owned over 120 guitars and although I may not be the world's best guitarrist I do know what makes a guitar good, and this one is not only good, it's great, even when comparing to other guitars that cost much more. Let's start with looks. This is a PRS SE (Made in Korea) but it looks like one of their maryland made guitars, it is BEAUTIFULL, hands down the best looking PRS SE ever. The guitar has an amazing trampas green finish in flame maple, a huge mahogany top, beveled top (similar to an arch top), natural back with sanded neck, rosewood fretboard, mop bird inlays, vintage kluson style tuners, clear knobs, prs stop tail piece and PRS se 245 (zebra style) humbuckers. The combination of all of these really go well with the guitar, It looks good in the pictures and ridiculous in person, it is an amazing looker. The only thing that would have made it look better would have been chrome or nickel covered pickups, but that's an easy fix, 10/10 for looks. Playability: The guitar is really comfortable to play and gets a 9/10 on playability, some people might not like the fat neck (especially Ibanez players) but it is in fact one of the more comfy 50's style fat necks I've ever played, especially because the neck is sande. Setup was quite nice out of the box (always an imppresive feat), the guitar came practically in tune, all I needed to do was to tune it properly and slightly lower the string height to my personal preference (although the way it came was quite comfortable as it was) PRS SE guitars are made in Korea but they are inspected at their Maryland factory and properly set up over there and that's always a good thing. No blemishes, scratches, dings or anything like that (Even $3K Gibsons can come with a small crack, happened to me once) SOUND: 9/10 While I'm not a big fan of the SE245 pickups (have had them before) I have to admit they sound good on this guitar. The guitar sounds amazing and it is truly versatile for any style of music: Rock, Jazz, Pop, Blues even Modern/Alternative Metal (It might not work for you if you're into death metal or heavier styles though, then again I've seen players use a Squier Hello Kitty strat for death metal sooo then this could definetly work with a pickup swap lol). Overall Musicians Friend experience: 9/10 I preordered the guitar some time ago and when it became available, Musicians sent me the guitar on a monday and it came on thursday, well packaged, at a good price so overall a very positive experience. The only negative is that the usps delivery man was extremely irresponsible and simply left the guitar at the front door rather than make sure someone signs for it, but that is not MF'S fault. I've purchased from them multiple times in the past and I'm very happy with them, will definetly keep on doing business with them. Overall this is an amazing guitar at an amazing price. This is definetly the best one I've ever played at this price point and is definetly a strong contender for the best guitar out there for les than a grand. Check it out if you can, you won't regret it!
