I have to laugh that Gibson is suing PRS over trademark infringment of their Les Paul design. This guitar cannot be consused with a Les Paul no matter how hard Gibson wants to think they are in the same league as PRS. THis guiar feels great, it plays great and it looks great doing both! A players guitar for sure, and now apparently a collector's item in the making.
When I opened the case for the first time and saw this baby, I was breathless. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!!This guitar is worth every last penny and then some. Playability - Excellent! Sound - Awesome! Sustains great! In the past I have owned several Gibsons, numerous Fenders, Ibanez and there is just no comparison in the worksmanship of this instrument. If you're serious about your playing, get one while you can!
i make custom guitars privately so i have alot of experience with them and in my 40 years of guitar encouters nothing even comes close to the sound quality looks and playability. truly an amazing guitar.
I have one of these great instruments and they play good, sound good, and it looks so good you might trade in your girlfriend for this one. Hehehe...
PRS guitars have been pretty good to me, but this one did not have the sustain i was expecting. This guitar could have been made much better. For the money you are paying for this product, it was not satisfactory.
I have owned several guitars and this is my first PRS. I was incredibly impressed with it from the moment I picked it up. It is simply amazing and incredibly versatile. It is well balanced and very easy to play. You can use this guitar for any style of music. I plan on buying a few more in various colors...It is expensive however I am a firm believer in the fact that you get what you pay for. It will last you a lifetime and will make you want to play more...if you can afford one, I highly encourage you to buy one while you can...
I was in search for the perfect Les Paul, I played hundreds of them, some came close but the deal breaker was always the muddy neck pick up. When I played the single cut I was astounded by the clarity of tone. Even through a driven soldano every note of a chord was fat, chimey and distiguishable. through a clean vox and fender the warmth and sustain were incredible. I am always in the shops looking for my next guitar, I haven't found one yet that matches the construction and sonic ability of this PRS.
This guitar is amazing. PRS has done it again!!It sustains perfectly and is so incredibly versatile. The top is jaw dropping and the birds just add to its amazing look. The PRS 6 pickups are great and the wide fat neck plays itself. No wonder gibson sued PRS because this guitar. It is better then most Les Pauls I've played.
I had to comment on these wonderful instruments. Reviews are usually a bunch of hype, however there is absolutely no hype with this guitar. Simply an incredible instrument that plays like a dream, no matter what sound you are hoping for. I was originally interested in it due to the limited availablility. I am not a fan of single cut away guitars, however, when I played this guitar I was immediately impressed. It is set up well out of the box, better than most guitars after an overhaul. I own 13 guitars and have since purhased 5 of these total because of their wonderful craftsmanship and playability and the fact that they are so rare now....what a dream to play a magnificent guitar and know that it will only increase in value. The finish on these instruments also gets better with age and is like nothing I have seen. They are still a little more expensive than the average guitar, however, if you can get over the popularity contests and want a serious guitar that delivers the goods, YOU MUST GET ONE OF THESE WHILE YOU CAN!!! I only wish more colors were available as I would have bought more of these...they are amazing and you will not be disappointed.
I have just recently been signed into the music buisness and I have to say this guitar has the exact features I love, it plays very well, it probably fits my hand better than any other guitar I have played, tone is incredible, sustain is very lengthy. Awesome guitar !
